Spent today to make a more generic version of this. Still rough around the edges but I'm SUPER happy with this hierarchical navigation concept. It falls back gracefully to a standard NavigationStack on compact size classes.

Ok so I did look it up, and found blog.coredump.cx/p/decibels-ar, and now I know _less than I did before_.

Winter is coming. Toddlers will freeze to death. Rain will flood tents and soak/destroy all personal belongings.

Palestinians need to buy warm clothing, ideally ahead of time. They need to replace tents. At the prices dictated by genocide-profiteers.

Over the coming months, Palestinians will need our support the most. Don't grow tired of supporting, don't grow indifferent to suffering, don't give in to feelings of powerlessness. If you need a break, that's okay, but do come back from your break.

If you don't have money to donate, you can send them words of emotional support. Listen to their stories and sorrows. It matters, more than you know.

My head is still full of this negativity from my prep for the talk this week. Decided the best medicine is a nice crime, hot tea, warm blanket and, of course, a cuddly dog 🧘‍♀️

Then my insurance informed me they are dropping this GI... because of course they are dropping a doctor who actually listened to me, got me tested, and successfully treated...

  13. We are endlessly grateful to our Infra team on normal days, but the past week has not been normal. As many of you know, this week has seen the announcement of several critical security vulnerabilities. Thanks to their work, our build farm is patched and safe from these latest risks.

If your company or organization relies on or any Open Robotics projects, please join the @[email protected] to help support the team that keeps the builds safe and operational. osralliance.org/

I’ll second all of this. PHP is a great example of how great people can do great work with flawed tools. And aren’t all of our tools flawed? Isn’t all good engineering this way? Isn’t the last mile of all truly good work a human solving the problems they have with the choices they have? Shouldn’t we tip our cap to every human who sees the work through that arduous last mile? I certainly do, especially this week.

Is AI a single-player game? We get into that this week, along with sovereign cloud, CoreWeave's debt, and what we took away from the Postgres conference.

I heartily endorse this very reasonable take.

  17. RE: hachyderm.io/@inthehands/11749

This seems kinda analogous to the advice Hogsbreath's staffers likely received--and chose to ignore--before their ill-fated attempt to relocate a priceless Eisenhower globe (used to plan Normandy) on their own.

    "Nah, we're big strong MANLY men; it'll be fine!" ... <loud crash>
