  1. 10 years ago while freelancing I started working on a charter for a software consultancy cooperative, where the staff owns the company and participates in all its decisions democratically. Now as more and more of us face #AI in the workplace and have trouble finding #noAI jobs elsewhere, I'm wondering whether this project can be revived with a sort of non-AI focus. Granted, we'll have to keep the #noAI manifesto offline for now, otherwise our current employers will discover our dislike for the "technology" they're forcing us to implement before we can get a revenue-stream off the ground and go all-in with the new company. #WorkerCooperative #WorkerOwnedCooperative #coops github.com/lorddev/devlords-org

  6. RE: hachyderm.io/@devlord/11628166

Answer is: jumpstart it with a generator and let it bake in the sun for 3 or 4 days. The battery meter will read “—%” until it reaches full charge, because it simply will not know until it gets there. #Airstream #Airstreaming

  7. After a few years of stagnation, I updated my #dotnet Utilities #NuGet package. I split off two packages, one for mail utilitites, and one for Google Maps utilities, as I don't think these two features would be needed by most users by default. I also removed deprecated encryption stuff that's no longer considered... good. nuget.org/packages/Devlord.Uti #FOSS

  14. @devlord it depends on whether you want to support .NET Framework, modern .NET, or both.

Modern .NET is net6.0. But to get both .NET 6 and 4.8 you should either multitarget or use netstandard2.0.

  20. Spotted yesterday at the #ChicoCA #NoKings: Audrey Denney greeting and hugging people who will hopefully become constituents. I told my kids she’s been running in opposition to the late Doug LaMalfa for years, and unlike the guy from the bay who wants to represent our new gerrymandered (for lack of a better word) district, she actually lives here.

  26. Do I know anyone who can help answer this question? stackoverflow.com/q/79915185/1
My IDEs all treat `$[(DatabaseName)]` as a difference in schema compare instead of ignoring the stored procedure or view as identical. This happens because of the new SDK-style sqlproj format, which is not supported in Visual Studio yet (we're all using Macs anyway).

  27. Any Airstreamers on here by any chance? We’re aiming to set off for spring break in a couple weeks. Solar powered Trade Wind. Lots of sun now, but we had like 2 months straight of rain and the batteries died. I can’t figure out how to get the inverter charging again. #rvs #Airstream
