@chris @jfmezei From what I here from people still in the US military, off the record, they refer to #WhiskeyPete as the "Secretary of War Crimes." When not performing for a camera, connections report, most of them hate him.
That's probably part of the reason Donald's so aggressively attacking #MailVoting, despite using it himself: It is how almost all active-duty #USMil and many of their families vote.

@alex_p_roe Yep, #WhiskeyPete is purging leaders loyal to the Constitution as quickly as he can--but it's worth remembering that this is a system EXPLICITLY DESIGNED to lose its leaders again & again and continue functioning as designed to accomplish the mission. Also, at least for a while, the pool from which replacements can be selected still consists OF OTHER OFFICERS SHAPED THROUGH THREE TO FOUR DECADES OF SERVICE TO BE LOYAL TO THE CONSTITUTION FIRST, so he's still got a lot of heads to lop off before he has the Wehrmacht rather than the U.S. military that was among the American people's most trusted institutions throughout my career (which started after Vietnam!).
It's also worth remembering that those removed (or, like me, just retired in due course) don't just go 'poof' -- we're all still out here, with our rolodexes of TODAY'S leaders we led, mentored, shaped along the way, who still turn to us for advice.
The patient is wounded, but not terminal, in sha' Allah.
