  6. Novice here trying to run my first game without a module.

It's so darn easy to accidentally railroad your players.

They tell you to avoid it in all the tutorial videos, and you think of course you wouldn't do that.

What they don't tell you is in the heat of the moment you're thinking "I'll railroad my players to go here!!", instead you're thinking "oh, they misunderstood.. those NPCs aren't hostile, I'll just bring them over so they know ... "

  7. My car hit a milestone today. Sadly, this happened at a parking lot, not at .

  8. Completely giving up on getting my nvme drive to run reliably in my laptop. Always craps out under heavy load. Something about this drive with this Asus laptop. I've tried disabling power saving, and lots of other kernel workarounds.

The drive that came with the laptop worked fine. I've lived with it for months because I wanted the bigger capacity. But I can't handle having to reboot and risk corruption on every large file transfer.

First time Crucial has failed me.

  9. Almost have my DIY external strip working for holiday lights. Worked for several hours today, but sometimes the controller signal starts to go nuts, causing the lights to go haywire for a bit.

I'm using a pi and a level shifter to feed a sp901e to distribute the 24v. Pico is powered over USB, with the pico Vusb out powering the level shifter... Then the output signal goes into the data pin of the sp901e.

No idea what I'm doing wrong. Maybe noise?

  10. Took me long enough, but finally saw the one in my own backyard.

  11. Lets talk about code indentation.

I'm getting older 👴 and recently was prescribed bifocals 👓 . I was then modifying some legacy code using 2-char indentation. Looking at a full page of code, the code at the bottom "curved inward" ("progressive" lenses) and it took a disturbing amount of extra effort to determine which level of indentation I was in.

I did not have this issue 8-char indented code, or even 4-char. 2-char is just too damn little to make it obvious.

  12. #tRump’s #Pardon Economy💰
"Trump, in his 1st full year back in power, dispensed 88 pardons & 23 #commutations —not including te January 6th #rioters or 77 individuals preëmptively pardoned for any crimes they may hv committed during te 2020 #election.. Trump’s pardon spree may have happened in any event, but it was facilitated, as a #political matter, by #Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter.. Bill #Clinton’s pardons were even more squalid"
    #corruption VS #clemency 🧐
