    Completely giving up on getting my nvme drive to run reliably in my laptop. Always craps out under heavy load. Something about this drive with this Asus laptop. I've tried disabling power saving, and lots of other kernel workarounds.

    The drive that came with the laptop worked fine. I've lived with it for months because I wanted the bigger capacity. But I can't handle having to reboot and risk corruption on every large file transfer.

    First time Crucial has failed me.

    Ich habe hier ein #Lenovo #T500, auf dem ich ein frisches #Linux #Mint installieren wollte. Allerdings mag es scheinbar nicht von USB booten. Mit F12 wird ein Bootmenü angeboten, was nur das optische Laufwerk und die Festplatte kennt, auch wenn der Stick mit eingesteckt ist.

    Der USB-Stick ist bootfähig, die Partitionsverwaltung der alten Mint-Installation erkennt ihn auch als bootfähiges Device. Gibt es bei den T500 einen Trick? Oder muss ich doch eine Disk brennen?

    The hinges on my #Thinkpad #T500 have started to get REALLY stiff. I'm almost worried about damaging the screen by trying to adjust it's angle now. Anyone else experience this? Any tips for how to fix it? Do I just take the screen off and clean out the bearings on the hinges?
