Ooh. The drama! With a runner on 1st, and 2 down, Cleveland sends up former Giants catcher Patrick Bailey to bat.
There was a conference on the mound between C and P.
Foul ball, strike 1.
Ball 1 way outside and high.
Ball 2 inside and challenged. Giants out of challenges.
Foul ball, strike 2.
Called strike 3, down the middle and a bit low and in.Giants 1, Guardians 0, final. Tugboat won't get the win, as he only pitched for the first 2 innings, but he's off to a great MLB start!

The Guardians' first batter in the bottom of the 8th drew a walk, so Adrian Houser, who had pitched extremely well for 5 innings, but was no doubt tiring, was replaced on the mound by Dylan Smith, who proceeded to throw a wild pitch, advancing the runner, then strike out the first batter he faced. And the second. And the third.
SF 1, Cleveland 0, heading to the 9th.

Matt Wilkinson was the TBD starter against Cleveland. Tugboat pitched 2 scoreless innings, giving up 1 hit.
As expected, his pitches were mostly in the 80's. Amusingly, the single he gave up was on a 90.8 MPH heater that had caught waaaaay too much of the strike zone at that speed.
Again, if we don't include direction, it's not a vector, therefore we are not talking about pitch velocity, a vector - it's pitch speed.

Back in the 4th inning, Bericoto drove in Devers, who had doubled, with a single.
Top of the 7th, that's still all of the scoring.

I have to apologize to Drew Gilbert. Ball 1 was called strike 1. I don't know if SF had any challenges left, but that put him in a difficult position.
