While cleaning up on my NAS, I came across my rips of the DVDs from Modern Drummer Festival 2005. These were so amazing to have as a child before YouTube was a thing. our project “Semantic x-Lab” wants to interlink information from different lab-internal systems such as instrument 🔬 and method databases and #ElectronicLabNotebooks, and external sources such as publication #repositories and #Wikidata, in #KnowledgeGraph|s. 🕸️ Our aim is to integrate metadata from previously isolated systems and find new connections in experiments across research centers. 🏛️
We invite you to join us at this year’s #HMCConference2026 - Metadata in Action, where we will be hosting an extended workshop. We are going to present our use cases and first project results. But we would also like to hear your thoughts!

I'm currently trying Emacs and I have a question about fido-mode:
How do I enter a string which is a prefix or a different casing of a match? E.g. I want to rename FooBar.md to foobar.md. So I do M-x rename-file, press enter to select my current file FooBar.md, then in the "rename to" prompt I enter foobar.md. But this matches FooBar.md, so pressing enter results in Emacs trying to rename FooBar.md to FooBar.md.
So what do I do? I feel like there must be a key I can press to disable this. But my Goolge Fu leads nowhere. 😅

Cool cool, #CommaFeed replaced its filter expression engine and now I have to rebuild hundreds of filters by hand. 😭 At least they were so kind to keep the old filter expressions in the database so they are not lost... #RSS

I played a bit with the NeoVim API via MsgPack RPC. It's quite nice not being dependent on VimScript or Lua. Might be useful for plugin development. Though I suspect that some of the glue code will still be needed to get a plugin up and running... 🤔

After #dns0 shut down, I switched my router over to #Mullvad #DNS over TLS. I use their base DNS with fallback to #adblock. However, every couple of days (maybe once a week?) my router loses connection. Everything works again after restarting the router. Does anyone else have that problem?
