Someone said that #Mastodon is less a #Twitter replacement than a collection of #MicroBlogs with the ability to comment on and share them. This resonates with me a lot and it makes me glad about #SelfHosting my instance.
I've done it with @cloudron on Hetzner and it was an easy-peasy setup. 180$/year for Cloudron, 6€/month for Hetzner makes it worth it to me.

Just putting this out there but I'm now using #ESP32S3 minis instead of #ESP32C3 minis with @microblocks as I find they much more reliably connect to my home WiFi. (Yes I know about the new C3 antenna variants but decided a just want a compact simple thing that just works without having to worry about whether it will or not)
