As #ICQ is shut down in a few days I think I can disclose this now:
Long long time ago, the official ICQ client allowed #flash avatars. It was possible to use custom flash avatars (from a webserver controlled by me) by uploading a special XML file pointing to that URL using the Miranda (?) ICQ plugin.
The flash avatars allowed #ActionScript and the flash player was running as local user. The intended use case was animated avatars (I send a smiley and the avatar smiles).
I crafted a flash file that displayed a static picture (so nobody will notice its a flash avatar), but opened a http connection to my server and waited for commands. I just used this to run "play this mp3 from that URL" and prank people and never used it for something evil. Never tried to figure out what was possible in terms of local access etc. and never disclosed this possibility until now.

Weils ja vielleicht für andere #Fedieltern auch relevant sein könnte hier mal die notwendigen #Reparaturen an einem gebraucht gekauften #Hörbert (Modell 2011) mit Bluetoothmodul.
1. Das Gehäuse ging aus dem Leim, also in Einzelteile zerlegt, abgeschliffen, neu verleimt, nochmal geschliffen und neu lackiert (Wasserbasis, Spielzeugtauglich).
2. Am Bluetoothmodul hatte sich das Klebepad für den Abstandshalter gelöst. Somit hing es beim Transport nur noch am Schalter. Der war dann auch kaputtvibriert und ein Riss in der Leiterplatte. (Fotos/Infos dazu im Folgetoot)

Die #Nosferatuspinne scheint bei uns im #Schwabenland dieses Jahr endgültig heimisch geworden zu sein. Über 10 Exemplare haben wir 2023 bis jetzt in und ums Haus gesichtet. Heute gleich zwei Stück.

Update on the #dragontree #flower thing.
The small flowers open at night and close at day and it smells like a mix of flower shop, pafrume shop and tropical greenhouse. Sticky liquid drops down on the leafs below.

27000 km #pedelec upgrades:
- replaced seatpost #canecreek thudbuster (from 2018) due to worn bushings with an #airwings expleto travel
- replaced the stock handlebar stem with an adjustable higher #byschulz Stem Alpha Pro SDS
- all new brake pads, new front brake disk = its possible to completely block the wheels to the point where the rear wheel lifts from the ground again
- fixed the front light (contact spray)
- added clickfix handlebar bag/box mounting pointSo far I really like the Airwings seatpost and the byschulz handlebar stem. Great comfort upgrade.
Todo:
- replace battery contact
- add voltage converter to 5V
- add thumb switch and 2nd front light adjusted for longer distance
- add USB outlet
- replace front disk brake hydraulic line with a longer one for more adjustment of the
- replace derailleur cable -

Oh no, my 1970s #foldingbike seems to turn into a brake-in-half-bike soon.
Any recommondations? Just clean the area and MIG #weld it? Add some reinforcement?

...and mounted a towbar. Because it was super cheap as nobody seems to buy one for a ~20 year old car with an electric parking brake and no hill brake assist. Hey, I just need to be aware of that limitation.
160€ including shipping is a great price. Parts are powder coated. I just need to splice into the tail lights, which will be done tomorrow.
I will put some fuses in the wires to the trailer connector - I really do not want to disassemble the front of the car to get to the fuse box if trailer wiring is bad.

Spent multiple hours just getting the cover on the fusebox and remounting the bumper.
In the end I used a dremel to remove some material from the cover to allow it to slide in place with a car around it while still clipping in place and being waterproof.
The way Renault wants this to happen is to remove battery, battery tray, ECU, some air filter stuff and slide the fuse thingy in from the side.
