Miss MoneyPenny update: We got the results back and had a vet visits today. The pancreas is looking good and other things are looking as good as they can. But she is highly suspected to be suffering from IBD (Inflammatory bowel disease). She is talking well to the hypoallergenic food that she's been prescribed, no puking and good pooping for nearly a week now. Though still is pain/discomfort and not her 100% self yet. We are now in holding pattern to see if she will gain any weight, for her size a 1Kg would take about month and we need to get nearly two back on her. This also means that she is going to be wearing a netted muzzle to stop her being the scavenger that she is. She ain't going to like that! Because if she eats something that sets off the IBD again, it will be very serious.
Here's a photo of them both, Paddy trying to be a nurse but Penny ain't so sure about it.

Two years ago this wee mutt finally let us trap her after 11 days befriending her and two days and lots of stinky treats trying to get her to enter the remote control trap and not run into the forest.
Today we took her the vet for an ultrasound scan which showed that there wasn't anything stuck and that the pancreatitis is ok. Still waiting for the blood test results to come back from the lap. Before we confirm what the next steps are. We have changed her diet and she haven't puked since Friday, so crossing fingers.

Darn blast, I jinxed it big time, when I gave you the last Miss MoneyPenny update. The very next day, she puked and pooped, both with blood. So vet booked and visited today. Blood tested which showed potential pancreatitis and more blood sent of to a lap for other checks/tests. Ultrasound booked for Monday to double check.
Here's a wee snap of her as she is falling asleep when they sedated her so they could draw blood as she a big jumper/wiggler.
If you ever need a vet in Southern Spain let me know, as they were so brilliant with Penny and explained everything to me.

Miss MoneyPenny update: she is much better now and is eating her kibble, little and often, and we have even had a poop today. Though she's lost a fair amount of weight, that we need to get back on her steadily over the next weeks.
Here she playing cute and innocent after a bit of a bark at some kids in the distance. And Paddy being the good boy that he is just checking on the kids and wondering if it's the time to run into HQ (one "good" thing to come out of his fear, is that he runs into HQ if something scares him, instead of barking)

Even when sick she still have the look of a entitled, majestic and served on mutt, who got us wrapped around her tiny paws. As butter wouldn't melt some would say. I'll say eyeballs will melt, because she shortly afterwards she let one rip ...
Her wee little belly must be doing somersaults and she is clearly starving, but we are only feeding her a little bit at the time until we are sure she can keep it inside.

Update on wee Miss MoneyPenny. She had a full night's sleep, no puking. She is much more perky, though still weak and drank on her own accord. She also eat, first time in 3 days, some cooked chicken with a boiled potato with interest (30min later and it's still within her). She lost a fair amount of weight, poor soul. She was very happy to see me when me and Paddy came back from our run.

Here's a snap of our little sick girl, fast asleep on Paddys' bed. Her stomach is talking away still. She haven't eaten for two days now and on the vet recommendation she should only be offered water now and again, untill drugs does the job.

Set off a bit too early after lunch on today's route, but after a km or two, wind changed direction, if you get what I mean, and it was more comfortable to run.
Forgot to take a snap on the run because I was "Dig(ging) That Groove Baby" with the awesome band Toy Dolls, much air guitar and drums were done. While singing along to to bangers like Fiery Jack, Glenda and the Test Tube Baby, Spiders in the Dressing Room, Stay Mellow, Nellie the Elephant and more. You should go and have a listen, if you don't like it, play it until morale improves, and I tell you it will, especially if you turn the volume to 11.

Been somewhat following the MoltBook, social media for AI bots. Great fun, the bots are behaving just like humans, to a degree, trolling each other, setting up a digital currency and a church even. Talking cutely about their humans like we are their pets.
Though I haven't heard anything with regards cats pictures, do they have a #Caturday ?

Today it's Dia del Galgo in Spain because it's the last day of the hunting season. This means 1000s if not hundreds of thousands of dogs, especially Podencos and Galgos, will be "retired" aka disposed of in horrific ways. Anything from just left to fend for themselves to shot, burned, hung, buried (alive), thrown from moving cars etc. This means all the dog shelters and rescues centers will be overwhelmed over the next few days/weeks.
So if you have a bit of spare coin please donate to a shelter of your choice. Galgos Del Sol (https://galgosdelsol.org/donate-help/) is probably the biggest one in Spain who are also working hard to change the laws and awareness about the horrors to people, through schools and television.
The photo is of our little Ms MoneyPenny the Spanish Podenco, we managed to rescue her from a forest 2 years ago. She hasn't "enjoyed" this hunting season as she is petrified of the bangs. Podencos are truly a unique dog, totally different to any other dog I've been around. Very wilful and an utter goofy clown and very often behaves like a cat, as in "you may touch me" ;) With Penny's background she has taken some time to come out of her shell, but in the last 6 months she has started to show affection, she now loves a good morning cuddle, where she curls up into my arms and then grunts and licks my nose, I think it's her trying to purr ;)

Where are the anthem?
Don't me wrong I love a good banger of a tune, but where are they? I don't like the "clubbing" part of the dance, rave, trance, house scene. The sweaty, dark room and high as a kite on something synthetic, never been my cuppa and I can't dance for the life of me anyway. But I loved to end the working week by putting on BBC Radio One's Essential Selection hosted by Pete Tong, as I drove home from work.
When I watch a live set from the BoilerRoom, Cream (when it was around still), Ibiza, Miami etc. - I tend to put these tunes on when needing to do some tedious work or cleaning the HQ. I truly do like the "modern" dance/rave music, some good DJs and artists out there for sure - I see people who are at least 30+ years younger than me, enjoying themselves dancing to some good tunes.
The only time I see the audience really go mad and dance their socks of is when the DJ drops in a bit of Saltwater by Chicane, Papua New Guinea by Future Sound of London, Insomnia by Faithless, Children by Robert Miles, Sandstorm by Darude to name but a few anthems into their live set. You know music that's 25-30 years old, and just one note from these send goosebumps all over my body. And often turning it to 11 isn't enough ;) Else it just looks like a normal night out, for a bit of a boogie, don't the youth have any anthems?
