This is how our two mutt's are enjoying the mountains. Paddy the Irish mutt, just quietly laying either in the sun or in the shade underneath HQ. Where Little Miss MoneyPenny the Podenco is at the end of her tether, a 15m lead, sniffing and hunting for little critters, making very exciting noises.

T2 und T4 sind im Einkaufszentrum, also eine grundlegend anspruchsvolle Aktion für das #Eskalier! Und dann kommt die Gesellschaft noch hinzu!
T4 hüpfte gerade wegen Überforderung hin und her und beißt in die Leine. Das Umfeld so: ‚Der ist noch jung und ungestüm,
-der will spielen!
-der muss mal richtig rennen!‘
Nee, dieser #fedidog braucht 🕉️ und Zeit zur Reizverarbeitung. Man kann nicht alles über rennen lösen, zumal der Platz und die Möglichkeit nicht immer zur Verfügung stehen! Wohl dem, der einen Plan B für seinen #Hund hat.

T2 sitzt mit T4 in einer Nische, wo es ruhig ist und T4 sich das Treiben aus einer sicheren Entfernung anschauen kann. Nach einiger Zeit hat das Eskalier sich sogar hingelegt🎉! Da kommt der Schuh- & Schlüsseldienstmann auf uns zu und nuschelt irgendwas wie: ‚Braucht er was?‘ T2 hat sich das Gehörte 3x durch den Kopf gehen lassen, was es wohl bedeuten kann und antwortet dann:‘Nee, der Hund braucht keine Schuhe.‘ Da wedelt der Mann mit einem Leckerchen 1,5m vor uns stehend rum. T4 bleibt liegen und T2 antwortet:‘Nö, ich kann meinen Hund selber ernähren.‘ Er nuschelt noch etwas und zieht beleidigt ab. Eine betagte Frau, die im Stil der 70er hängengeblieben ist (toupierte Haare) guckt T2 entsetzt an, schüttelt angewidert den Kopf und sagt:‘Das ist doch Tierquälerei!‘ Stimmt! Das Leben von T4 ist kein Ponyhof, T4 darf durch eine Erziehung laufen!

Ihr habt die Geschichte von der 50kg Hündin Shanti gehört? Was für ein Aufriss für so eine Selbstverständlichkeit. Bei jedem zweiten Rausgehen hat T2 weit aus verantwortungsvollere Aufgabenstellungen & Entbehrungen - und hat sie bisher ohne das jemand zu Schaden kommt gemeistert. OK, T4 trägt kein Verband, T4 sieht auch noch ‚süß‘ aus, ist ein #Husky und überhaupt sieht man die Probleme von diesem #dogofmastodon nicht von außen an!

Ein schweizer Hundekollege R2 hat sich einem Russischen Schwarze Terrier W4 angenommen, der keine Häuser betreten konnte und beschädigend gebissen hat. Wegen W4 extremer Artgenossenunverträglichkeit musste R2 häufig Laternenmasten zum zurückhalten von W4 nutzen. R2 hat 2 Jahre lang mit W4 im Zelt, im Camper oder im Freien geschlafen.
R2 & W4 waren fast jedes mal bei unseren Hundeerziehungsberater-Treffen mit dabei. Auf großen Abstand, wir konnten uns selten mit R2 unterhalten. Bei Touren war das Team mit riesengroßen Abstand hinter uns – aber sie waren dabei! Nach 5 Jahren konnten ausgewählte Hunde, sogar im Freilauf, einen gemeinsamen Weg zurücklegen!
Das nenne ich Einsatz!

Zurück zum EKZ: T2 & T4 verweilen an einer Sitzgruppe, nach einiger Zeit kann sich T4 hinsetzen. Kommt eine Frau des Weges und starrt T4 an, geht mit Blick in die Augen weiter an uns vorbei. Ca. 2m passiert dreht sie um und bleibt 1m vor T4 in vorgebeugter Haltung stehen. ‚Ich muss mir die Augen noch mal genauer angucken!‘ T2 achtet auf die Körperspannung von T4 um schlimmeres zu verhindern und denkt sich nur -Herr, lass Hirn regnen!-

Auf dem Rückweg kommen uns 2 Rentner mit ihren Hunden entgegen. Ein Podenco und ein Schafpudel. Der eine trägt einen Mantel, der andere nicht. Ihr ahnt es schon … der #Podenco hatte keinen Mantel an! #95Prozent
