    The whole point of live hockey is being close to the action. And then they have these outdoor games. Great idea, but they play them in football or even worse baseball stadiums. Where the best seats are at least 200 feet away from the action. Worst game I ever saw was Kings Ducks in Dodgers stadium.
    But of course it's only for TV and no reason to be there in person. Another great Bettman idea.

    On tap for today: photographing all of the styles of earrings, bracelets, and rings I have available for sale. And then updating my online shop to include them all, with accurate inventory numbers. This is incredibly tedious work, but I'm pretty sure I can finish it all today.     I'm also trying to figure out how I can incorporate a camping table with a built-in sink that I already have into a wet lapidary production area. My new trim saw arrives tomorrow and I want a water-friendly home for it. My brain is telling me to build a wheeled platform for the camping table to stand on so I can easily move it around the garage. I think I have enough spare wheels to get the job done.🤔 (2/2)

    I just let the dogs out in the dark and apparently that herd of elk (or another herd, was in my side yard again. I didn't see them until Rosie started barking at them and they started running. By the time my girls finished doing their business and I had them inside, the elk were gone. I know because I remembered my spotlight and searched the yard for them.😔

    Meanwhile, the male elk are bugling down in the valley somewhere. What an eerie sound. Reminds me of a loon.

    The elk are bugling again, but off in the distance this time.

    I don't recall hearing them so often in October. I usually leave to go south sometime between November 15 and December 25th and I thought that's when they moved through the area. Is it possible that they are moving through earlier? I don't know.🤷🏼‍♀️

    @macfranc @aitech Per quanto concerne la ricerca scientifica l'articolo descrive il dito ma non guarda la luna: per quale motivo tanti studiosi di professione inquinano la letteratura "scientifica" (e quindi i futuri dati di addestramento delle AI) con testi letteralmente mediocri (perché basati su statistiche automatizzate tramite #SALAMI)?
    I miei colleghi più giovani scrivevano sbobba a mano, su cui mi sarei vergognata di mettere la firma, molto prima che arrivassero i SALAMI ad aiutarli a estrudere AI slop. Perché?
    E soprattutto, perché è così difficile chiedersi perché?
