A report on Lebanon on the #BBC last night had the phrases 'Israel says' and 'according to Israel' repeated throughout.
So much so, I vote we change the name of BBC News to The Israel Says Show.

#DeclassifiedUK | Nobody wants to live next to a war criminal
In the interests of transparency, public safety, and justice, Declassified and the ICJP are launching a major campaign to demand that the UK government:
🔴 Track the movements of Brits who have served in the IDF
🔴 Subject them to secondary screening where necessary at ports of entry
🔴 Support robust war crimes investigations in line with domestic and international law
These demands come on the back of a meeting earlier this year of the Hague Group, in which forty states convened to demand accountability and the enforcement of international law in Palestine.

You're not a social media user, you're a customer. You support the platform you're on.

An idea to shame users of corporate social media sites:
Instead of calling them Users, call them Customers.
You know, draw attention to how they are not just passively existing on those sites, but by being on them they are giving money to bad people.

#JonathanCook | Western leaders play their part in our charade democracies. Can you spot the tell?
"Questioning the morality or sustainability of Israel’s apartheid rule over Palestinians is a luxury available to Shin Bet leaders only when they are no longer tasked with the enforcement of that apartheid system. When they are outside it."

An interesting point that was made was how #Labour has consistently ignored left voices because it has sat on complacency. That is, in its belief that progressive voters have nowhere else to go, Labour didn't try to be more appealing to the more progressive electorate, and instead pandered to corporate interests and chasing Reform votes.
What no one mentioned however is that is exactly what the Democrats did in the last US election which lead to the Trump victory. They refused to be less right-leaning, refused to stop supporting Israel's genocide, and put enough voters off to give Trump a majority (or bigger majority).

You know a quote post?
Is it basically the same as you posting a link to another post and it shows you a preview of that post?
Because posting a link to another post seems to do the same as a quote.

Mean Girls is on the telly and now I'm thinking about another movie that has some undercover school kid or something.

You know Facebook?
Is that one of the deleted scenes from Midsommar with a book made from human faces?

#Midsommar hot take
The original theatrical release is better than the director's cut.
One thing about the director's cut is the night time scene. I like how the cut down movie is all in daylight and the night time scene breaks that. I also didn't like the argument between Dani and Christian because it was a little to explanatory (when it's quite clear what their relationship is doing). It also puts the reason they stay all on Christian. I prefer the cut down version because it makes Dani more unsure and hesitant. I think that works better. I like how it more or less implies they see no reason to leave.
There's also a scene with a boy which I don't think is necessary. It's not a bad scene but not needed.
Other than that we do see more of Christian's toxic personality and his thesis battle with his friend shows a bit more how shitty Christian is being.
Overall though I think the cut down version has some very nice cuts in it, where action is just cut short but you still understand what's going on.
And one last:
That May Pole scene is just wonderful and I can watch it again and again. I’ve already seen the movie three times in about two weeks. There are a few great moments but I love the May Pole part.
