Sigo avanzando con el proyecto del **Timbre Escolar Inteligente** y hoy quería compartir dos frentes en los que estuve trabajando en paralelo.
Por un lado, el **diseño del gabinete en FreeCAD**, pensando en una solución más prolija, compacta y lista para llevar a prototipo físico. Y por otro, una **API REST de consulta de feriados**, para que el sistema pueda identificar fechas especiales y evitar que suenen los timbres en días no laborables.
Me gusta mucho cuando un proyecto empieza a integrar distintas capas: software, electrónica, mecánica e integración con servicios externos. Ahí es donde realmente se empieza a transformar en una solución completa.
Todavía queda camino por recorrer, pero cada avance suma y le da más forma a la idea.

Da ich längere Zeit wieder nichts mit FreeCAD gemacht habe, das aber für viele DIY- / Holzprojekte schon recht genial ist, arbeite ich mich gerade mal wieder ein. Natürlich in die aktuellste Version. Also schaue ich Tutorials und versuche Übungsaufgaben daraus selbstständig zu lösen.
Gestern endete das mal wieder mit vielen bösen Worten über den Computer und natürlich auch über FreeCAD. Heute stelle ich, oh Wunder, fest, kaum macht man's richtig, schon funktioniert's!

Gahhh I want the new sketcher text tool in #freecad 1.2, but not quite enough to switch over to nightly releases. Looks like I'll have to use the old, slightly clunkier system until 1.2 is out.

@freecad A friend has a Pelican case clone for audio equipment. Unfortunately an airline brutalised it and killed the flimsy handle it had.
Enter FreeCAD, some PETG+TPU and now there's even sturdier one in place.

For this #FreeCADFriday I made a hose passthrough to install a handheld bidet next to the sink cabinet.
It was a fun endeavor to create the assembly. The elements are split to be placed around the hose and hold together via threads. An additional helix on the inside is custom fit onto the hose to prevent it from slipping through the grommet.
