In searching out this word, I also discovered that Bar Bahlul (fl. mid-10th C) cited one "Ibn Sina," but presumably not the famous #IbnSina who died in 1037 CE, who was not born until c. 980 CE. Bar Bahlul describes his "Ibn Sina" as "I asked the Rumi (Byzantine?) physician Ibn Sina about this." According to the digitized text of Bar Bahlul's dictionary in the Simtho corpus, Bar Bahlul cites Ibn Sina five times, all in the first letter of the alphabet, and never thereafter.
This is like the phenomenon that if you share a name with a really famous person, no one can ever find you on the internet.
Does anyone happen to know anything about this #Byzantine(?) physician named Ibn Sina in the tenth century, probably in #Baghdad?

I have been threatening to find a way to remove the phone feature off this mobile communication device for at least a decade. I might have successfully done it!
There's nothing in my apps under P for Phone, or C for Call. 🧐 (even when accounting for the new alphabetical order #fuckaas)
Problem is, it's the incoming phone call feature that I really want gone, not the outgoing one!
This is cracking me up, I might be tired and stoned! Hopefully adding the icon back won't be a difficult task.

Why I am voting No on M - a supposed pro-small business tax measure contains a poison pill to stop San Francisco from increasing taxes on small businesses like Uber ($150 Billion market value), LYFT ($ 5 Billion), and Waymo (part of Alphabet, aka Google, $2 TRILLION market cap). Yes we must protect these small, multi-billion companies from paying their #fare share of transportation costs in SF

Of course PropM is intended to reduce tax burdens on small business - which is why it doesn't want L "...which would increase taxes on Waymo, Lyft and Uber to fund Muni," to take effect. Waymo is a subsidiary of Alphabet aka Google, at $2 trillion market cap, and Lyft is very small at only $5 billion.
And, as a pedestrian and bus rider, I regularly see how these companies vehicles contribute to delaying MUNI service - and we certainly don't want better MUNI services. Why if bus travel time and crowding improved, more people might use the bus.
#YesOnPropL #FundTheBus and please, just don't vote on Prop M. If it doesn't get more votes than L, Prop L will take effect. So just leave Prop M options blank.

"Non...

HEAR THE BODIES DROP!
Welcome to Metal Saturday - where every Sāturnī diēs is metal.
Today, one of my favourite Aussie acts metalcore band Alphawolf.
Had the great pleasure of seeing them about a month ago at #Cvltfest - the inaugural metalcore festival these lads have started.
It was a full day of metal and I spent a wonderful 6 almost consecutive hours in the mosh pit. Felt somewhat sore and bruised for the rest of the week but... worth it!
This is one of the biggest songs, "Akudama".
Clip is their #brisbane show a few months back but which gives you an exact feel for the intensity of their live shows.
Watch for the band member leaping into the pit at 2:36 mins!
If you can make sure to see them live: their touring all around the world the moment.

Also some shots I took at Cvultfest.

#F1 So I see the narrative has started to turn towards a Liam Lawson and Danny Ricciardo line up at the soon to be renamed Alpha Tauri team. Don't count Yuki #Tsunoda out just yet - he;s come on leaps and bounds in a terrible car and some of De Vries being bad was also Yuki being good. C'mon Yuki, all you gotta do is toast #DR3 the rest of the season. #GoYuki

Looking at the election data #GE24 and the question of ballot position, I discover the FG and FF candidate surnames come significantly earlier in the alphabet, on average, than other parties.
Practically 30% of their candidates have names in the A-C range, vs 23.5% overall.
SF and independents are fairly low too.
I really can't think why this might be.
