@sftru Done. Calling Gav the Gov is easy; wait times surprisingly short
And the more people call 916 445-2841 to express concern that the Governor has not followed through on his word to provide that $750 million transit loan, the better.
(As an ambitious politician eyeing his next office, he needs to hear that commitments must be met.)

Yes, indeed: #YesOnL #FundTheBus
Have you voted yet?

Why are we #YesOnL in the upcoming San Francisco election? It will prevent public transit cuts and improve transit access for people with disabilities, seniors, youth, students, and people with low income.
Check out all our proposition endorsements for the November 5, 2024 election at https://lwvsf.org/ballot-recommendations, and then #VoteWithTheLeague.
Vote YES on Proposition L!

Of course PropM is intended to reduce tax burdens on small business - which is why it doesn't want L "...which would increase taxes on Waymo, Lyft and Uber to fund Muni," to take effect. Waymo is a subsidiary of Alphabet aka Google, at $2 trillion market cap, and Lyft is very small at only $5 billion.
And, as a pedestrian and bus rider, I regularly see how these companies vehicles contribute to delaying MUNI service - and we certainly don't want better MUNI services. Why if bus travel time and crowding improved, more people might use the bus.
#YesOnPropL #FundTheBus and please, just don't vote on Prop M. If it doesn't get more votes than L, Prop L will take effect. So just leave Prop M options blank.

Done! Some were the usual hold your nose and vote for the least worst, but a surprising number of candidates and propositions had my enthusiastic support.
Edward Wright for BART Board was an easy yes.
As was #YesOnPropK for Ocean Beach Park &
#FundTheBus #YesOnLAnd state props 5 and 33 address critical affordable housing issues, so again enthusiastic support

Why I am voting No on M - a supposed pro-small business tax measure contains a poison pill to stop San Francisco from increasing taxes on small businesses like Uber ($150 Billion market value), LYFT ($ 5 Billion), and Waymo (part of Alphabet, aka Google, $2 TRILLION market cap). Yes we must protect these small, multi-billion companies from paying their #fare share of transportation costs in SF
