No, Laura, Andrew did not pay the "ultimate price".
You're thinking of Virginia Giuffre.
Andrew is still a free man and living a life of luxury that most of us can only dream about.

And while it pains me to say nice things about The Sun, credit where it's due, their headline writer has definitely earned their salary on this one

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that Rachel Reeves is credulous enough to trust an estate agent given that we already know she believes in trickle-down economics

This is not Nigel Farage's "Putin problem". Farage gets very well remunerated for it.
It's the UK's problem if we are daft enough to elect him into power.

It's bonkers that being an obvious racist doesn't breach any Parliamentary rules, but calling someone a racist after they have shown themselves to be an obvious racist does breach the rules.
But chapeau to Dawn Butler for the way she withdrew the remark:
"so I will withdraw the fact that I am referring to the Member of Parliament as a racist because of her racist comments"

Letting someone walk free from jail by mistake is quite a fuck-up.
Also, the prison service has been seriously underfunded for years now.
Those 2 things may not be unrelated.
When systems are under-resourced, they will fuck things up, as sure as night follows day. This isn't rocket science.
So it's a bit rich for #BadEnoch to whine about how unacceptable it is when it was her party that cut all the budgets in the first place.

“it drives me mad when I see adverts full of black people, full of Asian people”
Please tell me again how Reform UK isn't a racist party?

I really don't like the framing of the theft from the Louvre as a "daring heist". It romanticises it, as if the thieves were some heroes from a Hollywood movie or something.
They are not. They are ruthless criminals. It's a bloody miracle no-one was hurt, and in any event they've inflicted horrible damage on French heritage.

This is extraordinary, and really once again shows that Parliament is not fit for purpose.
You can get thrown out of a debate for correcting someone else's dodgy statistics, but if you spout dodgy statistics, then the system protects you.
And not the first time this has happened, either.

For various reasons, it had been a bit over a month since I last went to the gym when I went there on Saturday.
Today, my arms are SORE.
That is all.

"Conservatives would scrap stamp duty, Badenoch announces"
Credit where it's due, this is actually a pretty good policy. Stamp duty is a terrible tax. It discourages mobility which in turn can discourage people moving to take up better jobs which in turn is a drag on the economy.
I'm still not voting Tory though.

"By deliberately choosing to encourage mass law breaking on this scale, Defend Our Juries are drawing valuable resources away from the communities of London at a time when they are needed most"
Translation: Rowley believes that sending officers to arrest grannies peacefully holding up placards is a better use of police resources than sending them to patrol around synagogues. That's entirely his choice.

I'm not saying I'll never vote Labour again. Maybe I will some day.
But honestly, at this stage in the game, I cannot possibly see myself voting Labour while #Starmer still runs the show, no matter what he says or does now. It just all seems too far gone.
Labour really need to ditch him, and fast, if they want to save the party from oblivion.

This looked like a good news story at first: it's rare for someone rich and powerful doing dodgy stuff to get caught, and it looked like she did.
But reading further down it sounds like she won't actually have to pay the money as it's her company that's been ordered to pay, not Mone herself, and the company is being wound up.
The rich always seem to get away with it somehow, don't they?

You know what an actual journalist (as opposed to a PR mouthpiece for the ruling classes) would have done here?
Looked in detail into what evidence there was that the #FrogFacedGrifter actually did sing Hitler Youth songs when he was at school.
