It has been exacerbated by all presidents since then, #Democrats and #Republicans, alike. 40+ years of #neoliberal economic policy has resulted in a wealth transfer from the poor, middle class to the millionaires and billionaires. Where #Dow and #FTSE were the gods on whose altar wealth of middle class and affordability were slaughtered in hopes of #TrickleDownEconomics.

Merz und Konsorten lassen sich als Volksvertreter wählen, sind dann aber 100% Wirtschafts- und Finanzvertreter. Politik für natürliche Personen gibt's nur für die obersten 10%; Dort wird alles hinten reingeschoben und die restliche Bevölkerung bekommt das, was den eventuell, vielleicht -oder eben auch nicht- unter down-tricklt.
Wer nur Politik für Moneten kann, wird bei den Menschen kaum Vertrauen gewinnen.

Klatten kriegt 1.1 Millionen die Stunde, und ich komm nach einem Jahr als selbstständiger Handwerker kaum über die 20.000 die ich zum Leben brauch.
Da hilft kein #TaxTheRich mehr.
Es braucht einen #Höchstlohn. Der ist überfällig. Meinetwegen beim 50-fachen des Mindestlohns. Dann haben die Milliardär*Innen auch einen Grund, den Mindestlohn zu erhöhen. Und #trickledowneconomics wird endlich wahr.
Der Rest geht dann an Schulen, Krankenhäuser, die Bahnstrecken, die KiTas, Kleinbäuerliche Betriebe usw usf.
Dafür bekommen die Milliardär*Innen jedes Jahr eine Karte, wo drauf steht welches Freibad sie saniert haben und welche Schule wieder ein funktionierendes Klo hat. Und weil ich so nett bin, leg ich noch ein Extra oben drauf: Einen Pokal und eine Glückwunschkarte, weil sie den #Kapitalismus offensichtlich schon durchgezockt haben. Dadurch, in die richtige Familie geboren worden zu sein.

Yet again trickle down economics have been debunked. Every time Republicans bring this up they should be laughed out of town. Unfortunately interviewers never seem educated enough or bold enough to shut the shit down when it is mentioned. Biden should be doing Presidential addresses talking about it until it's in the zeitgeist and even Trumpers know it even if they didn't want to admit it.

A #flatFee would work if ceteris paribus (all things remain equal), but we all know now they have a #moneyPump that they use to help those close to #power and so this is likely to be a remix of the failed #trickleDownEconomics.Even years before the 2019 #RepoCrisis and ensuing #bailouts thinkers were saying a #carbonTax would lead to #financialisation, without properly addressing issues.

I had a pretty bad #dream about #inflation and #profiteering earlier during my #sleeping #period today, I went to the #cinema and it was only me at the cinema, food and a couple of other condiments to enjoy including movie ticket cost me around $140 and I made a huge fucking deal about it with valid points as to why nobody goes out anymore and why file sharing is the new cinemas diy at home. The worker was in solidarity but also angered at the price I was quoted just to enjoy a day out at the cinema.

GDP going up, stonks go up, etc... All great. For people with money.
More and more people in the US are at the point where they have very little money. They can barely keep up with rent, groceries, and energy costs.
But, stonk lines go up, so everything is good, right?
#Inflation is "better now", but reducing how fast your money loses value doesn't change that it's losing value faster than your pay raises.
And yes, "median pay is increasing"... For the higher end of the wage spectrum. Front line, #EssentialWorkers are not seeing the same gains. People playing the stonk market, or management are getting more money, though.
So, yes, there are very real economic policies decisions to make, to get people feeling better about the economy. And #TrickleDownEconomics aka #Bidenomics isn't the answer.
