  1. Hi there! Here’s a Mono-Version of my #ivory-inspired #monatheme:

    Light: mona-cat://6299
    Dark: mona-cat://0187

tbh: I feel like the tab bar settings as well as the font size and line height are the most important factors in resembling the ivory magic. Unfortunately these settings are not included in #monathemes. social.cologne/@schlauschlau/1

  2. @ivory @Donmcallister @[email protected] Great idea! 😁☀️
Perhaps people imagine they already know all there is to know about social media, but I for one always learn a lot from your screencasts. Had to keep pausing the one on to try everything out!

  7. @Ivory 🤞An IPad app for Threads🧵?
Some web developers have moved on to make clients for other platforms. For instance, the makers of Tweetbot created Ivory for Mastodon. But Threads, with its nearly 100 million monthly active users, is a particularly green pasture compared to Mastodon, Bluesky, & all the other X alternatives that have come along recently.

Displaying full names in the #AccountSwitcher works well for me, as I made them unique. 😊

_The “boost from” & “favorite from” menus_ however, display only the *user names* which are sometimes identical, so I often make mistakes (despite trying to pick the right one). 🙈

  14. In praise of #ivorcutler

I was recently made aware of the wonder poet, raconeteur, eccentric, and otherwise brilliant individual, Ivor Culter.

He knocked around with the likes of the Beatles, back in his heyday.

The song ("song", in the sense of most of his work involved a harmonium) which I like is called #shoplifters which is about people who lifted up a shop, rather than robbed from it. See:

    youtu.be/wuAM5IRgxm0?si=kZd0ij

Note that this comes from the "Ivor Cutler Trio" -- a mono-version (i.e., just Ivor), can be seen here:

I wish I had known of him sooner.

  17. "We Can Work It Out" is a song by the English rock band #theBeatles, written by #PaulMcCartney and #JohnLennon. It was first issued as a #doubleAside single with "#DayTripper" in December 1965. The song was recorded during the sessions for the band's #RubberSoul album. The single reached number one in Britain (where it won the #IvorNovelloAward for the top-selling A-side of 1965), the United States, Australia, Canada and Ireland.

  18. I will never stop being bitter about the academic authoritarianism that says taking slightly too much time to fully synthesize and react to the entire set of readings makes one a worse grad student than someone who responded in a timely manner but did so off the top of their head and didn’t even mention said readings. Ugh. SO many authoritarians cosplaying as radicals.
