Try phanpy if you want to see threaded posts on Mastodon as they are intended. Not sure why #ivory and other mastodon clients don’t follow this standard.

@tapbots You know what would be awesome and super helpful? A way to store a collection of hashtags for topics a user often posts about and drop them in a toot, using a single special hashtag that Ivory translates.
Maybe if you type ##mysavedtags3 Ivory would swap in a stored list of tags the user setup earlier.
This is on my wishlist.

The macOS text replacement thing — which lets me type something like “long-s” to get the actual long-s “ſ“ character — only seems to work on Apple's own apps.
Does not work in Office 365, Adobe apps, and the desktop Ivory app.
But it DOES work on iOS, everywhere, and this has always been the case; it's not Yet Another Tahoe Bug (there's SO MANY BUGS).
Which makes adding things like ¯_(ツ)/¯ (I type “shruggy”) and ಠಠ (“redditeyes”) on the Mac a mild pain in the butt.
Also, Ivory randomly drops characters like underscores, asterisks, and \ for whatever reasons. I typed this in the first pic and the second pic is what is displayed in both versions of the app. @ivory
Hey, these characters are preserved in the alt text! WTF…

I might actually use BlueSky when Phoenix by @tapbots launches.

Tapbots tworzy aplikację Phoenix dla Bluesky
Twórcy dawnego Tweetbota pracują nad nową aplikacją Phoenix dla sieci społecznościowej Bluesky.
Będzie ona rozwijana równolegle z Ivory, aplikacją Tapbots dla Mastodona.
Bluesky zyskał taką popularność, że firma nie może polegać wyłącznie na Ivory. Obie aplikacje pozostaną oddzielne, ale będą miały wspólne funkcje. Planowane jest także dodanie opcji publikowania na obu platformach jednocześnie.
Premiera Phoenix zaplanowana jest na lato, a wkrótce ruszy publiczna wersja alfa. Więcej informacji można znaleźć na stronie Tapbots.

My Ivory subscription is up for renewal in a couple weeks so decided to give the official Mastodon client (iOS) a test for a few days to see if it works well enough to switch back over.
I could get on with it if I had to, but I’m definitely sticking with Ivory. My main issue is the way the official app doesn’t seem to remember your location in the feed and when it loads new posts, skips way ahead making you scroll back down.

@antonio106 Greetings from a fellow #podcaster and #fountainpen fan. For the Mastodon UI, I'm a big fan of #Ivory by #Tapbots. Feels like a Twitter client without the Twitter stench. Whatever the case, I hope you find this time around Mastodon more to your liking.

It’s interesting that there is only one usable Bluesky iOS app that I have found and it’s a not targeted at the iPad. I wonder if @tapbots.com is working on a universal app.. Of course, they’d make more money if they made a separate one.
