My fav* "helpful" replies...
Oh you have a question about a minor adjustment or quirk of an application you're using? Table-flip everything you're doing and switch to this totally different competing product/service. 😑
What have these people suffered such that they think the solution to a small problem is to throw all your familiarity & experience into the garbage and restart from scratch? Do they place no value on one's time? Bizarre.
* Stop it.

Saving the World Like a Savarna
Savarnas can pose as extremely radical and culturally progressive and then, with the flip of a metaphorical switch, slip back into their privileged family lives without the slightest existential friction. This switching is possible because Savarna social lives are largely public-facing performances, writes Prof. Ravikant Kisana.

Does anyone know if it might be possible to patch the firmware of a #Logitech MX Master 3S / Business mouse to assign the #EasySwitch button to another mouse button?
It's so annoying to flip the mouse over everytime I want to switch between paired devices, it's like they hired the Apple Magic Mouse engineer...

Orienteering at Westonbirt Arboretum and Silk Wood today followed by lunch and a wander to see the giant redwood. The brown course, which had a map flip, switched between the gloriously runnable Arboretum and Silk Wood where paths and grass (well mud) avenues cut up the denser undergrowth (and then back). Nothing overly technical but fun. #Orienteering #WestonbirtArboretum

New post: The Galaxy Z Fold 7, one month in.
I expected to hate this phone. I thought the fold was a solution to a problem I didn't have. I thought the flip was the right form factor and the fold was a gimmick for people with more money than sense.
A month later, it has changed how I work. Dev work, blogging, AT training, video calls — all better. The inner display turned my phone into an actual multitasking device instead of a single-app pipeline I constantly switched between.
It's not the best foldable on the market. The battery can't keep up with combined phone and tablet use. One UI is still bloated. TalkBack has bugs unique to this device. But the form factor itself? Sold.
Full post covers accessibility, screen reader quirks, hardware, what sucks, and why I'm already eyeing the Clicks Communicator as my next phone because I can't leave well enough alone.

CW: Human+AI
It feels like we reached peak phone design years ago with the flat glass slab. Rumors about an Apple foldable iPhone are picking up speed. While others have used the flip style for a while, I am curious if Apple can finally solve that screen crease issue. Would you switch to a folding phone if it felt durable? More details are at https://gwizit.com/go/6Vn7RUZ now.

Is it just me or are IMAP subfolders broken in @k9mail and @thunderbird since 12.0?
Just tried Thunderbird as well and I can't download any emails in subfolders. (12.0+12.1)Used to work fine 11.1.
Is there some switch one needs to flip?

#VideoGames #FlippingDeath
This game looked like fun, I bought it ages ago and decided now was the time to start it. I have it on the Switch. It’s a puzzle platformer, you play as Penny, who dies in the prologue and ends up temping for Death. The name means you flip between the living world and the beyond by possessing living people to solve puzzles. -
🌀 What if removing some structure led to better outcomes?
A curious inversion, I agree. But that’s the charm of the Headstand Strategy, flip the premise, reveal the problem.
We speak of agility as freedom, yet wrap our teams in rituals: OKRs, alignment meetings, performance dialogues, endless standups, grooming, planning, retros. Conversations about conversations. Calendars filled with the idea of progress. The actual work? Squeezed between context switches and corporate theatre. I totally get the idea, but the side effects are ignored.
You're already saturated with management frameworks. Now imagine holding a developer role, expected to contribute meaningfully while navigating that same maze. The room to breathe, to create, to care about the product… vanishes.
And then comes the lament: Why is no one passionate anymore?
Perhaps because passion requires space.
Thinking needs silence.
Excellence isn't summoned in overbooked sprints.More oversight doesn't mean more output.
More process doesn’t mean more progress.
If everything is a priority, nothing is.
And if every hour is scheduled, don't expect spontaneous brilliance. As a wise colleague once said:
"I'm exhausted by alignment, OKRs, and performance talk. I just want to build something great and support your product with my knowledge. Let me."So before you launch the next initiative, consider:
Are you enabling growth and skills, or just optimizing for control?#HeadstandStrategy #ThoughtfulLeadership #QuietProductivity #AgileReflection #LessIsMore #MakeSpaceToBuild
