My favourite part of #freeformcrochet - starting scrumbles with no idea where they are going. All wool is 4-ply in Superwash Merino/nylon from UK independents. The fab red is Furnace by @mothyandthesquid The jacket top is in heavier weight #wool - the bottom has lacier shapes in lighter #yarn. These #scrumbles are pinned to foam/wood blocking boards and wetted. This makes them lie flat for a better finish. Then adding surface work begins!

Second arm finished...I'm calling it 'heart on my sleeve' as I've managed to incorporate an anatomical heart and a swirly one. There's a brain at the top...

Inspiration... Georgia O'Keeffe, body parts in a grey/red palette. The rest of the yarn is a lighter 4-ply. I needed a heavier yarn for everything to hang from. Much more surface work to do on the joined scrumbles.

The best part of #CruelSummer, season 1, is the range of #ChiaraAurelia as #JeanetteTurner. #OliviaHolt as #KateWallis is also very good.
What #Chiara did was next level, imo.
From geeky, awkward, innocent, and desperate-to-be-liked, to dark, brooding presence, her performance elevated this twisted #SoapOpera.
And the ending is just right.
It starts slow and grating (immature teen drama) but the final few episodes pay off.
It's a good show, overall, just don't expect a lot.

#Freeform has set premiere dates for returning series! The second season of #CruelSummer will debut June 5 with a special two-hour episode at 9:00 PM, and then will move to its regular 10:00 PM time slot. The sixth and final season of #grownish will premiere June 28. Also, the new animated series #PraisePetey, featuring the voices of #AnnieMurphy, #JohnCho, #KierseyClemons, #StephenRoot, #AmyHill and #ChristineBaranski, will bow July 21 with two back-to-back episodes weekly.
