So ist es übrigens ausgegangen mit der Katzendecke:
Im Juni wurde es mir zu warm zum häkeln, daher hab ich erstmal Pause gemacht bis Ende Oktober.Aber dann hab ich weiter gemacht und gehäkelt, bis ich unter dem Gewicht der Decke fast erstickt bin und mir langsam zu warm wurde und ich beschlossen habe, nun ist sie groß genug. :blobcatgiggle:

Diesesmal freeform, damit ich mich austoben kann.
Damit es schneller geht und ich möglichst viele Vorräte aufbrauchen kann, mit ner 8er Nadel und 3fach genommenem Garn.
Soll wieder eine Decke werden. Ich hab mal die bisher vorhandenen Teile nebeneinander hingelegt um abzuschätzen, wie groß das bisher in etwa ist.* ich benutze das etwas seltsame Wort "herzeigen" damit ich meine eigenen Posts einfach wieder finde

So, you may know that I make a lot of custom crochet toys for people who send me photos or drawings of what they would like. I use a lot of amigurumi of course, but the rest is all freeform crochet. And it all started here with this very wall hanging a few years ago. I just hooked up the various stitches and used yarn colours that suited the narrative I was trying to tell, which was a beach with cliffs and a sky above. It was completely freeing and it made me realise that I could make things without having to use patterns if I wanted to. I called it "Painting with Yarn". Now I paint and sculpt with yarn when I make the custom toys I have turned into a passion and a little money earner on the side. It's very fulfilling and a lot of fun. Give it a go when you have a mo' 😊

Hi #finishorfrogalong - I can't wait to finish a stashbusting neutral yarn granny square blanket because I hate it but can't leave it! Not my colours but made space for lovelier yarn. I've been naughty and started a new project while a few hours off finishing my freeform sea jacket. Reading a book on pagan influences on church architecture and read the words 'green man'. YES! for the first time I was stumped (sorry) what to do next. No idea what this will be. Wahey!

Not that I've been itching to start something new... this garment (probably garments as there's so much yarn) will be based on the sea and stormy skies. Includes my first ball from Noro and a couple each from Malabrigo, Bow Fiddle Yarns and YarnTings. The 3 pictures are sky/sea, rocks/seafloor/creatures and seaweed. I plan to connect scrumbles with Irish crochet!

Finally finished... the Georgia O'Keeffe/organs jacket. Mostly merino/nylon from independent dyers. Spot the eyes, lungs, brain and hearts. The Georgia O'Keeffe references include the goat skull/flower, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, grey charcoal spirals and abstract flower close-ups (that's what I'm calling them).

My favourite part of #freeformcrochet - starting scrumbles with no idea where they are going. All wool is 4-ply in Superwash Merino/nylon from UK independents. The fab red is Furnace by @mothyandthesquid The jacket top is in heavier weight #wool - the bottom has lacier shapes in lighter #yarn. These #scrumbles are pinned to foam/wood blocking boards and wetted. This makes them lie flat for a better finish. Then adding surface work begins!

One yarn I can't get away with is cotton. I had to really force myself to finish this evil eye granny square blanket. It was from Hobbii and 70% off! Was making 2 freeform cushions with leftovers but have hidden them under the bed. I like a bit of give in yarns. Also a super chunky premium acrylic which crocheted up like a board. Never again.
