There's nothing fun on twitter.The tide of shit keeps rising, led by Elon. His most recent stunt was to un-suspend a QAnon poster who posted truly horrific child porn on the grounds that Elon had not personally seen the post.
Good posters keep getting suspended or leaving for one of the other microblogs, bad posters keep getting reinstated and more prominent. Nazis and QAnon are now commonplace.Twitter is 4Chan now, except the child porn is still rare.
EDIT: hahaha no sooner had I posted that than I find out that Elmo has reinstated black nazi Kanye West.

Faffing around with the Test2::Suite #SoftwareTesting framework (successor to Test::More) that’s been included in #Perl v5.40 for almost a year (https://perldoc.perl.org/Test2::Suite), plus DBD::Mock (https://metacpan.org/pod/DBD::Mock) and Dario Roa’s #Codye code screenshot tool (https://darioroa.com/codye/)
The latter is good for embedding code snippets to #SocialMedia and #microblogs like #Mastodon.
They don’t *have* to be as decorative like the attached example, of course…

We're in #microblogs. And #blogging platforms like #WordPress already lets people control their comment section. #Facebook lets you delete comments in your posts and control who can comment. And IIRC #Twitter had this feature at one point too, idk if it still has it now that #ElonMusk took over :sagume_think:
There's zero reason why the rest of the #fediverse shouldn't adopt this too. :koishtare: Compatibility and federation be damned, I just want the canonical page containing my post to look how I want it to. :RumiaPray: I don't care about people talking behind my back, they aren't worth engaging anyway. :economist_kasen:
Moderators like me can have some control over replies in our posts since we can delete them from our instances for any reason, but it's not realistic to expect everyone to run their own instances and deal with administration every day. Regular users should be able to delete other people's replies under their top-level post too! :parsee_angy:
