  1. DevLog 010: Debugging MLT/GTK segfault

I try to edit some footage with my video editor. Everything is going quite well. After I add a split-cut-at-playhead operation to the editor, in addition to the previously added ripple delete, I am actually able to do some useful edits.

However, after a while I notice that a cut does not seem to render the correct frame. I decide to restart the application, and then it happens.

    Segfault!

We work on adding multiplayer support to the balloon shooter. In the process we see examples of overlapping #sociable #testing and also reflect a bit on the agile concept of #stories.

The end result makes me want to go play the game every now and then.

  4. How can infinite amount of space be #visualized without #scrollbars?

Do you know of any examples?

  5. I re-watched parts of Inventing on Principle by Bret Victor.

I was reminded that creators need to be able to see what they are doing without any mental mapping.

That is why one problem with #literate #programming is the mental burden of double compilation. You can’t run your debugger on the literate source, so you have to first compile it, and then do the mental mapping in the debugger.
