Since #OliveVideoEditor is being subject to bitrot, and is not getting any less crashy, I decided if I'm gonna be doing more video I need to find a tool that won't make my hair turn grey.

Olive 0.2 would be almost perfect, but it's getting older and 0.3 or whatever @MattKC is cooking over there is not available still.

So I have sat down to re-evaluate all #libre non-linear video editors (#NLE-s) that I could find.

So far #FlowBlade is showing most promise despite using #MLT.

There are a few people walking round Basel with ESC lanyards and a QR code on their backs that says “scan me”. These codes appear to redirect to the Facebook page for the Eurovision Malta Family, a “hardcore Maltese Fan” association.

@zahntron @pop_os_official the 10-bit pipeline did indeed not work very well as soon as you used eg. avfilter effects. However a patch has just landed two days ago in #MLT , our video backend. So this will improve soon!

For my new "Cleopatra" EP I wanted to quickly create, in an automated way, a set of video previews I could use for Instagram/Facebook stories (yeah I know, Meta sucks, but that's where all my friends and family are, so please bear with me 😂 ). This is how I used the #MLT framework (and a few other tools) to do that in a scripted and re-usable way!
