I think that I've actually almost got my personalized #emacs config set to the point that I can start using it. At least, it's almost usable enough to edit its own #literate config file.

Isn't that what one does with emacs?! Edit their own config? 😂

Still like #Doom emacs, though. But, going through this process (for the 89th time) does help one understand better of what's what. That, and #elpaca rules.

I re-watched parts of Inventing on Principle by Bret Victor.

I was reminded that creators need to be able to see what they are doing without any mental mapping.

That is why one problem with #literate #programming is the mental burden of double compilation. You can’t run your debugger on the literate source, so you have to first compile it, and then do the mental mapping in the debugger.

I always thought that doctests were an evolution of literate programming pioneered by Donald Knuth. However, reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literate_programming again, I now see that it's explicitly called out that literate programming is about the ability to form a program from a web of smaller pieces. Importantly, this web does not have to follow the structure of the finished program.

I have not actually tried to do #literate #programming — is there anybody here who have experience with it?

We love #SteveKeen's ideas.

His work alongside #KevinRudd, to fight the #GFC in #Australia by giving some cash to everyone to spend how they need was a far cry from the #bailOutTheBanks idea out of the #US.

To be fair, since #repoCrisis last year every #literate pundit and his dog was waiting for this. Even before then people knew #wallSt were dependant on #greaterFools to support the #ponziScheme and #debtBubble. With close to #NegativeInterestRates etc.
