Found #dishwasher at curb, hauled it home. It mostly worked. Did #repair. Problem was solved by logic and controller board replacements. Known issue in forums. Cost about $250.
Labor cost? My labor? Ha!
Replaced old nasty 1980's dishwasher. This one better at cleaning, more efficient. Spouse happy with that.
Kids think I can fix anything now.
But best of all, our young tabby cat thinks magic gnomes live inside our dish washer!
