  1. @rpimag I've been putting the finishing touches to my Raspberry Pi Home Media Centre.

Using a Compute Module 4 and NVME drive. With Jellyfin as the media server.

Optional transcoding the video for faster performance.

  2. @rpimag I've taken my home server to the next level adding Samba (NAS), Docker, Portainer and Nginx PHP web server.

This is part 2 of my video on how I took the Raspberry Pi compute module with NVMe and added the services.

  3. @rpimag I've been working on my home server. Replacing an old Raspberry Pi 3 with a Raspberry Pi 4 compute module with PCI card and lightning fast NVMe drive.

This is the hardware config and OS install ⬇️

  4. @rpimag I've been creating some new videos to accompany my electronics series.

This week I've created a video on voltage regulators, perfect for supplying a stable voltage for powering a Pico.

  5. Ever wondered how a diode actually works? 🤔⚡️

It’s the "one-way valve" of electronics, but there's so much more going on inside! In my latest video, I break down the P-N junction, explain Forward vs. Reverse Bias, and compare common diodes like the 1N4003, Schottky, Zener, and LEDs.

Watch the full breakdown here: youtube.com/watch?v=a9LnNkGxeyQ

  6. @themagpi I've been reviewing my latest Pico project.

It didn't all go to plan, but I got it working in the end.

We learn more from the things that don't work than the things that do.

  7. I've created a web based MP3 player with a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W and a DFPlayerMini

  8. One of the challenges with reverse engineering is if you misunderstand how it works. With the MP3Player I didn't realise it sometimes returns two responses instead of one.

Fortunately with more testing this came to light and I've been able to improve my library which works much better now.

I've also tested with a new Raspberry Pi Pico 2W.

  9. Unable to understand why my Laser Cutter wouldn't work with FOSS I used Wireshark to sniff the USB data and find where the problem was:

  10. My son got a G-Scale locomotive for Christmas. This introduced me to the confusing world of knuckle couplers for model trains.

I'd bought some Kadee connectors, but found I didn't have the one I needed. So I made an adapter in FreeCAD and 3D printed it.
