I fucking loathe my windows work machine.
Time to set a new password. So I follow the instructions. Ctrl+Alt+Del, change password, all good. A small notification pops up
"Windows needs your password. Please lock the system and unlock it"
So I lock the system and put in my password again...
And I get a message telling me that this account is disabled for some reason..... Amazing...

So all I needed to do was actually uncomment the `RewriteBase /` line in `.htaccess`. It was even prepared in the file as a comment but I guess tired me did not see it last night....

So I tried to get #kanboard set up on #uberspace, but am only getting internal errors (500). Anybody recently set this up on there and can let me know if the lab guide (https://lab.uberspace.de/guide_kanboard/) is still up to date?

Schon schwach von Google/YouTube, dass sie es nicht hinkriegen die Untertitel richtig anzuzeigen wenn ich aus der offiziellen App auf einen Chromecast streame. Nach jeder werbe Unterbrechung muss ich sie in der App neu an schalten....

Does anyone know of a good overview how much overhead using ctypes to call functions from a dynamic library adds to #python code instead of building a native extension e.g via #cython #pybind11 or #nanobind ?
A blog post with some statistics would be perfect but just ballpark figures from anyone who knows what they are talking about is fine

Okay so I feel like I no longer want to be associated with #Fosstodon over the moderation issues coming to light.
Any instance recommendations? As CCC fan I am eyeing chaos.social but unfortunately do not have any connections there yet to get an invite link. I would be very thankful for anyone who can help out there.

So my trusty old #chromecast that was working perfectly fine for a couple of years is now a brick because the firmware is outdated? Seems like some certificate expired and I can no longer stream any media to it...
Anybody have tips to work around this or maybe some other device recommendations that have similar functionality and ease of use?

Just performed a number of #nectcloud updates in a row going from I believe version 27 to 31. Haven't noticed any obvious breakage so far. It was actually quite smooth with the script I found here: https://lab.uberspace.de/guide_nextcloud/#updates
