Mulle on tulossa paketti Espooseen. Se lajiteltiin Vantaalla 7.5. Seuraavana päivänä 8.5. se rekisteröitiin Espoossa ja sain kysymyksen että haluanko sen ovelle vai pakettiautomaattiin. Valitsin jälkimmäisen ja paketti rekisteröitiin uudestaan Espoossa 8.5., toimitusarvioksi tuli 9.5. (lauantai???). 8.5. illalla lähetys lajiteltiin taas... Vantaalla.

Lauantai tuli ja meni. Nyt 11.5. lähetys on kuljetuksessa Helsingissä. :D

Kylläpä pientä pakettia nyt heitellään.

HSL-pyöräily, päivä 2:

Lukitusvirhe taas, aspan vinkki oli että hytkyttele pyörää. Joten hytkyttelin ja näytin ihan idiootilta, mutta se toimi.

Pyöriä on näemmä kahdenlaisia: toisissa on isommat näytöt ja toisissa pienemmät. Kokeilin kaikkia kolmea isompinäyttöistä pyörää lähtöasemalla ja kaikissa vilahti ensin kortin ja näppäimistön kuva, mutta sitten ruutu valahti pimeäksi kuin rikkinäinen LCD. Sokkona olisi pitänyt painella menusta läpi.

My weekend. We bought a new glass oven baking thing. We made one (1) dish with it. While reheating it, I dropped the lid on it, breaking it into pieces. Not content with just that, after taking this picture, while cleaning up the pieces I cut myself on one so bad I had to get two stitches.

Now I'm having a hard time controlling my computer as my bandaged pinkie finger keeps pressing shift in addition to the mouse key.

I am a fool and fools should not be handed glass items.

Does anyone have a protective box for their battery charging needs? What kind?

My complications are:
- Long ebike battery that needs to be charged from the end
- Battery charge state needs to be observable (it's a blinking LED on the battery)
- Preferably easy to chuck out the door/window in case of shit hitting the fan

I'm considering getting some kind of metal box, padding it with fireproof material, and adding a simple camera/monitor for observing the insides.

Just defeated FRP (factory reset protection) on an #Android 9 device (#Nokia 5) without using external tools. Mother in law's old phone to which she had forgotten the PIN. Now it can be reused, I feel like a true hacker.

Also I'm surprised that such a recent device still falls victim to "crack it just by clicking around in the UI and ending up in the 'reset PIN' dialog".

Reading about how tabs for indentation are an accessibility issue for some suddenly makes me feel like I should switch to tabs in all my projects.

Are there any accessibility concerns that would actually point to using spaces instead of tabs? Or is it just familiarity? Assuming you work with a code style where you don't need to align things to columns that don't divide nicely to tab levels.

Learned a new word meaning today as I got a great suggestion for my next blog engine's name:

#gloss

noun. A brief explanatory note or translation of a difficult or technical expression usually inserted in the margin or between lines of a text or manuscript.
noun. An extensive commentary, often accompanying a text or publication.

Of course, should've known it from the word "glossary".

I like it since it also has other, partly contradictory meanings. And it starts with Gl, for #Gleam! ;)

I'm doing the unthinkable. I'm trying out #LightTheme in my OS, my apps, my terminal, my code editors…

It kinda reminds me of the themes we used to have for #mIRC with #NoNameScript or #BaFeScript. They were so colourful! Oh the good old days.
