@akis Möglich. Aber Mutter Microsoft weiß ja auch, wie gut das eigentlich noch ältere #AgeOfEmpires2 in der (wirklich tollen) Neuauflage läuft. Wird bis heute mit neuem Content versorgt, wobei man da deutlich mehr fürs Geld bekommt.

It's the first day back at work after the Christmas break and for this evening I'm already thinking about which game to play of the several that I (re)started while I was on leave.

Option 1 - continue my latest Baldur's Gate run (BG1, not this fancy BG3 business) that I'm enjoying. Playing as a semi-evil Blade this time!
Option 2 - I picked up F1 Manager 2024 on sale for the Switch and I'm working my way through the season as a backmarker, which is way more fun than picking Red Bull and steamrolling my way to the podium every race. It's a shame that the Switch port seems to run a bit sluggish.
Option 3 - overcome my "ranked anxiety" and play an online game of Age of Empires 2 for the first time in a year or two, and not care too much about winning or losing.

This is a mosaic of I dunno how many overlapping screenshots of a game of #ageofempires2, stitched together to create a vast overview of what my civilization (the Vikings) looked like in a late stage.

There was literally no need for almost everything you see here. Who needs that many farms? That many houses? The relics *and* the wonder?

I can justify the four universities, though. If you have the resources, build as many as you want, and set each researching different upgrades. Same reason there's multiple blacksmiths.

Балдею всё же с игры. В обучении развлекаюсь с монахами - подумал, что просто украсть у врага последнюю реликвию для победы - это скучно. Но и просто вырезать противника скучно. I love this format. 8 players but nobody knows who is who as they are secretly assigned role names so as a player, you don't know who you are playing so you can't prepare for their style. As an audience member, you don't know so you can keep guessing and trying to figure it out.

Being able to rebuff an early rush in Age of Empires 2 and rebound into a successful counter attack is a great feeling. I feel like I'm starting to do a lot better in the macro management when taking on fights better than I used to. Always used to crumble under the pressure and neglect my eco.

#AoE4 had lots of shortcomings and balance issues early on but I think they might have been ironed out.
#AgeOfEmpires2 still seems way popular and better received of two.
#AoE2 Definitive Edition has been one of the best remasters I've ever played. I have nothing but praises about it.

Haven't gotten #AoEIV yet and I've been enjoying #AoEII or more precisely, #AoE2DE quite a lot and bought all the DLC.

AoE4 dropped from 60€ to 40€ and is 40% off at 24€
