  6. I got my #MoonPi patch!
A lunar rover will calculate Pi using the moon's environment as a source of randomness. This involves using the rover's sensors to generate random numbers, then employing a Monte Carlo method. Support the mission and become a Mathstronaut! #MattParker

  9. Watching #MattParker’s video on the #BingoParadox my thoughts drifted away a bit... (#adhd)

Now I was wondering: how did they make #bingo cards before computers?! Sure, you could just produce led types/sorts of every number from 1 to 75 and then draw 24 of them – like lots – for #typesetting of a single card. But that would have been A LOT of work and probably way to expensive.

Is there a pseudo random sequence to easily generate unique cards?

#TIL They just made fewer cards and re-used them!
