I am proud to present GlobalTalk Chat 1.2, taking it from a rushed #MARCHintosh hack-job to something I'd be proud to release as shareware 30 years ago!

The headline update is it now allows anyone to host their own room! And it works on any AppleTalk network, not just #GlobalTalk

There is a park in our city with a #space theme (there's a big rocket to climb up etc)

They also have these panels showing how #VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometry) works, including how in order to compare the signals from different dishes, they are recorded to tape which is sent by plane to the central computer...

Edit: doing some research online, apparently the satellite dish was actually stood in this park from 1992 until 2018

Working on finishing up my taxes at the last minute as every year. Also realized far too late I had let my MyNumber (government digital ID) expire so I can’t submit it online but need to print and mail in.

Finally done catching up with all the accounting of the past year, now time for the final 20 questions to generate the tax filing.

My accounting software has presented me with this dialog. If it doesn’t literally do as pictured then I’m going to ask for my money back.

I only have Macs and have wanted an XP-era PC but have no space for one so wanted something tiny, and have kept a saved search open for ages, but they all go for 12,000yen+

This one has only blurry photos, has no power cable and is untested, so I won it for 6,600 yen. Here's hoping it works!
