While most other civilian androids look like pure stock humans, this variety features proportions, mannerisms and speech styles based on Japanese female anime characters. As far as new era scholars can guess, the word ‘Waifu’ supposedly stems from the Japanese word for wife among adherents of ancient anime culture.
