  2. Attaching 3D models to a 2D window opens up some interesting possibilities.

Also loving the Houdini ➡️ Reality Composer Pro workflow. Both apps use MaterialX's USD Preview Surface so materials read into Xcode correctly.

  3. Trainee pilots who lost tens of thousands of pounds when their flying schools collapsed are calling on the aviation regulator to take action.

  4. I'm not sure how the interactive part of SwiftUI Charts will work on Vision Pro, but I'm very happy with this setup in the simulator.

The new SectorMark pie chart view is shown here, along with LineMark / AreaMark and gesture selection.

It is amazing how much you get for free with Swift Charts.

  5. I have had the absolute BEST day writing visionOS apps. The is just so much fun. 🥽

Need to improve the lighting on the globe tomorrow, but very pleased with having all this working on day one.

  6. With no SDK available as yet, here's a first pass at a Vision Pro mockup of interactive STEM learning material within a volume.

  7. A post-flight glide path graph, showing a descent into Gatwick using data from a flight simulator built with Unreal Engine.

  8. Immersive flight simulation with photorealistic 3D tiles

Using seamless meshes and high-resolution textures from the real-world, to create a compelling flying experience.

  9. ILS localiser coverage

The localiser is part of an Instrument Landing System (ILS) and is used by pilots to guide an aircraft during final approach.

  10. Terrain awareness (TAWS) visualised.

Shown here is representation of how the system 'sees' terrain ahead of the aircraft. The land is colour-coded from green to red relative to the altitude of the aircraft and corresponds to the vertical displacement between terrain elevation.

  11. Exploring the Venturi effect.

A simulation was performed to create this model which depicts streamlines within a tube. The lines are coloured to show that the pressure at the throat section is lower (blue) than the pressure at the inlet or outlet sections (red).
