Irgendwo hab ich heute den Bandnamen #BillyTalent gelesen und jetzt hab ich die Mukke aufgedreht und bin zurück in 2007, am letzten Tag vor den Sommerferien. Ein Mensch im erweiterten Freundeskreis hatte eine Boombox und das Red Flag Album dabei. So sind wir dann mit tollen Soundtrack in großer Gruppe zum Bahnhof/ZOB gezogen und in die Ferien gestartet.
Ich werd richtig nostalgisch gerade, schön an die wenigen wirklich schönen Momente aus der Zeit zurück zu denken!

Gerade ein cover von #DieAerzte #Junge gehört. Jetzt fühl ich mich alt. Das war für mich immer das neue Lied von denen, das sogar im Radio läuft und jetzt wird das sogar dchon gecovered...

hat jemand Veranstaltungstipps für morgen Abend für mich? Bin wegen #lohnarbeit in Berlin und hab mir noch kein Abendprogramm überlegt.

Bin in Mitte untergebracht, aber mich zieht es wieder mal nach #kreuzberg und #neukolln .

Kino, Konzert (nicht zu spät, will vor Mitternacht zurück im Hotel sein um genug Schlaf zu bekommen), Theater, ?

Am Nachmittag bin ich dann los zur #KLP #KulturelleLandpartie. @arnesemsrott hat im #EinDingDerMoeglichkeit aus #Machtuebernahme vorgelesen. War in jedem Fall gut gegen das bei mir gerade meist sehr präsente Gefühl der Resignation.
Ich bin anschließend aber zügig weiter gefahren, bei so großen Menschenansammlungen fällt es mir (leider) meist schwer mit Leuten ins Gespräch zu kommen. Dann lieber Fahrradfahren. Außerdem war der letzte starke Regenschauer gerade vorbei.

Heute war ein guter #RadFahrTag! Ich bin gerade in der Nähe von #Dannenberg, allein, hab kinderfrei und kann ein paar Tage durchatmen.

Heute Vormittag bin ich eine Runde gefahren, einmal zur Elbe schauen und dann Einkaufen. Ich hab das gerade auf der Karte nachgezeichnet und das waren auch schon rund 22km.

Mein Boot ist vergangenen Mittwoch abgebrannt. Das ganze fühlt sich immer noch total surreal an.

My (biased) conclusion:
- I like the pattern notation for specifying finger-joints
- 3D preview is great
- `with_cutouts` is great, but sometimes a little slow
- boxes.py has many more features
- boxes.py generates a more concise layout

So if I Interpret the data correctly then #yocto / #openEmbedded based Linux systems are not vulnerable to the #xzbackdoor due to not updating very quick. xz is at version 5.4.6 in the openembedded-core layer.

I don't see anything that would have prevented being vulnerable though, the openembedded-core layer does
- contain the libsystemd patch and thus pulls in xz when building a systemd enabled distro
- uses the release-tarballs of xz

@calebccff I work on #yocto / #openEmbedded projects on a daily basis and think it's actually pretty usable.
The fast dev-cycle using #devtool works well when modifying a single package. Rebuilds of the whole Image can take forever though.

Pain points are the complexity of it all (read the docs, then grep through all layers for the undocumented parts of the implementation) and some layers taking shortcuts and messing up the caching mechanism.

Do you have any favourite parts for DC/DC switch mode converters on PCBs?

I need to generate a 1V rail that will be under very light load most of the time and a little over ~700mA in the worst case. Input voltage is 5V to 5.5V.

Looking through the available parts at JLCPCB (since that's where I'm planning to order these boards) and taking stock there and in general (mouser, digikey) as indications for a "common" part I think I'll go with a

#CrossCompilation via binfmt.emulatedSystems on #nix #nixos kinda sucks. I mean yeah, it is great that it's easy and the speed is OK when it can just download the results from the caches. But actually building packages takes forever no matter how fast the machine is.

I guess I'm somewhat spoiled by using #Yocto #OpenEmbedded professionally, for which real #CrossCompilation just works.

I've worked bare-metal on #ATMega and #STM8 chips and using (incl. small contributions) #ZephyrRTOS on STM32 chips.
Also worked with #yocto for creating custom embedded #Linux images.
