It was Heron vs Everybody down at the pond earlier today... wish I'd had a camera!
The little birds were making so much noise everyone passing by stopped to look. Even the moorhens were having a go, getting up to the heron - couldn't see exactly what they were trying to do. Coots shouting all over the place. One swan on the nest, and another one all puffed up, between the heron and the nest and hissing whenever the heron moved towards it.

The difference in the sanctuary from Maundy Thursday, through Good Friday to Easter Sunday was very striking...

Glad that this cake made it to church safely despite the best attempts of the weather (cardboard cake box was surprisingly waterproof).

Out on my bike in the sun, a young man stopped me to ask for directions. Turned out we were headed the same way, so I cycled next to him while we had a wee blether. I love that being on a bike still lets you talk to other people. Totally makes up for getting hailed on earlier!

Looks like high level trains to Glasgow Central are cancelled through Monday... that sounds pretty serious :/ hope folks are safe...

"Allow extra time for your journey" is a bit rich when the first rail replacement bus arrives two hours later than the first train in the timetable, and just barely in time for you to get where you need to be. The second bus is far too late. Really hope the first bus is on time...

Huh. Apparently setting up a photo on gravatar has created and logged me in to a wordpress.com account. That is rather unexpected. I only found out after getting "User $generatedUsername Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested" instead of the login page to the admin dashboard of a site I'm helping out with...

Quite pleased with how these turned out. The cake I decorated them with vanished very quickly too 😹
Not one broke when I lifted them, so now I have lots of spare flowers! They'd be a nice size for cupcakes...

Royal icing is sugar and egg white. Would it work with salt instead of sugar, does anyone know?
I'm wanting something I could pipe onto a salt dough ornament - I need something tactile in addition to painting it...
