It was Heron vs Everybody down at the pond earlier today... wish I'd had a camera!
The little birds were making so much noise everyone passing by stopped to look. Even the moorhens were having a go, getting up to the heron - couldn't see exactly what they were trying to do. Coots shouting all over the place. One swan on the nest, and another one all puffed up, between the heron and the nest and hissing whenever the heron moved towards it.

This is certainly an improvement over Burnside's performance³, and yet she could have stepped up to the plate to voted DIFFERENTLY on a number of motions.
Here's hoping Alejandra Bravo puts her money where her mouth is as we head into this year's season of state violence against the unhoused.
