Anime Fall 2022 Ranking 4/24 - Chainsaw Man

Not beating around the bush, Chainsaw Man is an anime masterpiece. Particularly in cinematography & animation. It manages things that are rare to see even in quality movie productions, much less animated shows.More than that, while it has a very immature & over the top aesthetic and treatment of violence & sex at first glance, giving the show time to explore them reveals a surprising thematic & character depth.

While the second half of season one of this #anime does not have the novelty factor to boost it as high as the first half did, it remains just as sweet, funny, and heartwarming as it was in its terrific beginning.
The Forgers are a wonderful little faux family slowly becoming a true found family. I love them all, and I will watch this show until they stop putting out episodes.

Anime Fall2022 Ranking 11/24 - Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War (Season1, Cour 1)
The return of the Bleach anime has been everything that I was hoping it would be. The pacing is excellent, the art and animation are fantastic, and the characters and plot feel stronger than they did in the manga.

This #isekai #anime really surprised me with how good it is. #Aileen is a fantastic proactive protagonist, who knows what she wants and goes for it. She isn’t content to sit on the sidelines and let fate come to her. The fact that she is the one who pursues a #romance with #Claude helped me get emotionally invested, and their relationship felt meaningful.

It's pretty enough, but it commits the cardinal sin of being utterly boring. The protagonist is almost entirely reactive, and the #romance has the skeletal structure of a love story without any of the life, personality, or spice that makes something like Jane Austen worthwhile.

Celou tuhle sérii mám rád. Zaujala mě už povídkou v #Pevnost, kde jsem poprvé narazil na druida a jeho kámoše Oberona - vlkodava, který při komunikaci pomocí myšlenek vtipně reaguje na situace z jeho vlastní psí perspektivy. Líbí se mi koncept "Gaia magie", elementálové nebo spojení s mytologií. Čtivé, vtipné a takové milé.
