Wir haben es geschafft. Heute morgen waren wir um 9 Uhr am "Old Man of Storr" und haben einen der letzten Parkplätze ergattert. Bei starkem Wind nach oben, im Regen nach unten. Alle komplett durchnässt, Stimmung beim Rest durchwachsen, bei mir bestens 😉
Kurzer Boxenstopp im B&B und dann fahren wir Richtung Coral Beach in der Hoffnung, dass es dort trockener und sonniger ist.

The Old Man of Storr on the Trotternish Ridge is probably the most famous walk on the Isle of Skye.
The Old Man (Bodach an Stòr in Gaelic), is a 55-metre-high pinnacle of basalt rock which is all that remains of a 2,800-million-year-old volcanic plug.We took the opportunity to do this walk early(ish) this morning. Brodie came with and although on the lead the whole time as there were sheep about, his behaviour was exemplary.

There are plenty of photos of the Old Man of Storr but fewer from it as the paths around it can be a bit of a scramble. The surrounding area, including 'The Sanctuary' behind it (as usually viewed) is also well worth exploring.
A unique and often bizarre landscape.This was taken from the path that runs up and around the Old Man and behind 'The Cathedral'.

Stunning coastal scenery around the peninsula at An Aird, Braes. This cliff arch leading the view North along the Sound of Raasay. Perfect for a gentle Sunday afternoon walk, we visited a few weeks back, and one of our "go-to" places.
