This is a peninsula on Loch Bracadale which has no inhabitants beyond a certain point. It is a glorious place in which to roam. The paths you can see were made by sheep.

Für den heutigen Tag haben wir uns eine Wanderung zum Fossile Beach in der Nähe des Old Man of Storr herausgesucht.
Im günstigsten Fall finden wir was, wenn nicht, haben wir uns bewegt.
Für die Hinfahrt haben wir uns die Passstraße von Uig nach Staffin herausgesucht, natürlich waren wir nicht allein und richtig voll wurde es, in der Nähe von Quiraing Steilkannte. Oh Mann hat sich hier viel verändert, wohl den vielen Touristen geschuldet. Bilder von bunten Regenjacken am massiv, [...]

The Storr (Scottish Gaelic: An Stòr) is a rocky hill on the Trotternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The hill presents a steep rocky eastern face overlooking the Sound of Raasay, contrasting with gentler grassy slopes to the west.
The Storr is a prime example of the Trotternish landslip, the longest such feature in Great Britain. It is the type locality for the mineral gyrolite.

The winter solstice occurs at the minimum point for the northern hemisphere, when the Sun is lowest in the sky. The actual point of the solstice is not a day but specific time.
