The Warren Zevon tune has been launched as the current ear worm.
It showed up toward the end of my freshman year in high school (May, 1979) and five years later, after it had pretty much disappeared from rock radio, there I was playing it at my first radio station from my own copy of their debut album I’d bought in Minneapolis during 1983.
