The first I ever heard of Jimi Hendrix was when I was like 8 years old and my mom got for my younger brother and me one of those compilation albums from various artists like Jimi, Janis Joplin, The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane (“Somebody To Love” wax on there) and The Buffalo Springfield. This was the tune from Jimi featured on that album. Needless to say, I was hooked.
