탐라에 TRPG 퍼즐 얘기가 보여서 한마디:
TRPG는 근본적으로 "마스터와 플레이어들간의 대화"이기에, TRPG에서 퍼즐을 내놓는 것도 "대화할 때 상대방에 맞추어 주제를 내놓는 것"과 동일선상에서 생각할 수 있다고 봅니다.
무슨 소리냐면, 스포츠 전혀 안 보는 사람한테 트윈스가 어쨌네 투수가 이랬네 심판이 저랬네 얘기를 실컷 해봤자, 상대방은 예의상 "아 네 그렇군요" 정도만 해줄 뿐, 제대로 된 대화가 되지 않죠. 그냥 한쪽이 일방적으로 말만 하는 것일 뿐.
반면에 아이돌 그룹 좋아하는 사람에게 아이돌 그룹 얘기를 하면 그땐 서로 잼나는 대화가 가능하겠죠.
비슷하게 TRPG에서도 마스터가 퍼즐을 내놓으려면 플레이어들이 퍼즐을 즐길만한 그룹인가를 먼저 파악하는게 중요하다고 봐요. 그리고 그에 맞추어서 퍼즐 난이도라던가, 퍼즐 자체의 유무를 조율하는 것이지요.
마스터는 언제나 플레이어들에게 맞춤형 세션을 준비합시다!!
