The Ghost Cube Extreme.
Solved it twice now with only one turned piece remaining.

I've been having fun learning the 3x3 Rubik's cube with my 8 y/o son. I followed CubeHead's guide for beginners https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAmEqmbD1t4
Now i can reliably solve it every time! it's a good feeling.

My son is just getting the hang of it. It's fun seeing him go from frustration to excitement as he learns how to use the algorithms. I am sure he will surpass me soon...

Caught up on household chores so now to make progress gluing the magnets for the 4D Rubik's cube I'm working on.

The goal is a 2x2x2x1 cube that's still a 3D cube physically however the edges will have 2 states and the magnets will allow for face flips in addition to rotations where flips are used to scramble the edge states.

Ça fait archi longtemps que j'ai pas fait une update #RubiksCube parce que je stagne à l'apprentissage des PLL T et Ua
Mais : je continue à en faire
Je m'attaque + régulièrement au 4×4 pour le résoudre tout seul sans algorithme, donc forcément c'est très long

Mais voyez moi comme un sims qui essaie de développer sa compétence "logique" tout en ayant les capacités intellectuelles d'un magicarpe.

J'ai appris il y a quelques temps que certain⋅es en résolvaient en 4 dimensions : 3x3x3x3 soit 3^4
Le cube est biensûr virtuel et se résout au clavier. Et déjà là, ça dépasse l'entendement.

Ben… Aujourd'hui, j'apprends qu'un gars est en train de résoudre un cube en 6 dimensions !
Oui, oui. 3x3x3x3x3x3 soit 3^6 !

Puisque vous avez été touché par la « meugnitude » de Xuanyi et Qixian, les voici en février dernier après s'être affrontés en compétition.
En bonus, Yunzhi Lian, cubeuse de 6 ans et 20e mondiale.

Mais rendez vous compte que c'est trois là ne sont pas que choupinous, mais surtout des maîtres et maîtresses de leur discipline. Voici leur meilleur temps respectif :

Pour l'instant je fait la méthode "avancée" (cf la video postée le 1er mai par Delnart)
Mais perds énormément de temps à faire la croix blanche sans marguerite.

Je fais donc que cette étape en boucle mais ça ne m'avance pas plus.

Des astuces pour gagner quelques coups ? Pour repérer plus facilement les arêtes blanches et "anticiper" leur déplacements futurs ?

Je stagne à 1 min 30 au total. Pas mal quand on sait que y a 1 moi je savais juste pas résoudre du tout de Rubiks Cube.

I don’t know why, but I never learned to solve a Rubik’s Cube. I am exactly the right age; the durned things appeared on the scene just before I got to primary school and they were common in my high school. But I never got into it. I had one, of course. I pretty much immediately took it apart (very carefully) to see how it worked… just honestly curious about how it worked, not trying to solve it. When I put it back together, I put it together in the solved state because it seemed obvious that if I put it together randomly it couldn’t be solved by then trying to rotation-solve it as usual.

Aside: Yes, of course I did. Any time I found a cube, I’d surreptitiously mechanically detach and flip a few pieces, and then scramble it. Few people are good enough to quickly figure out what has happened.

…and then I never was interested in solving one after I understood how it worked. Tetris? Okay, yeah, that game ate years of my life—because you can’t solve it, you just do it. Anyway, I’m 50 and I just got a Rubik’s Cube.

And what am I doing? Measuring it: Let’s call it 2.2 inches on an edge. How many of them are there? Wikipedia says 350,000,000. Crap, that’s a lot of plastic. How big a pile is that? How big are 350,000,000 2-inch cubes? …and I was hoping Wolfram Alpha would give me units of Empire-State-Buildings or something. Instead, I learned something about the total number of Angels according to the Bible. (That should get you to click, no?)

What’s that? How many ESBs is it? …oh, sorry, it’s 0.0583 ESB. I know right? We’ve only 6% filled the ESB with Rubik’s Cubes?! We need to ramp up production.
