9 days left to the #YenMigration
Things moving quickly on the #YenMigration from Proton.
Having a free trial run with Nextcloud. Contacts and calendar syncs on GrapheneOS with DavX5 - as does the Drive and Notes. Photo uploading occurs as I use my camera. All related apps are FOSS and downloaded with Obtainium.
Nextcloud syncing on my Linux laptop is seamless.
Still umm-ing and ahh-ing about email going forward though...
Your CTO needs to go too.
But I think we all know Proton is beyond saving for a large number of your customers who trusted you as a real Euorpean-based Big Tech alternative.
Big Tech Bros style bullying and full-on AI-glazed eyes. You become what you hate.
I'm off. I have 10 days of my monthly subscription left and I'll use that time to disentangle myself from your ecosystem.
After a bit of consideration, I've decided to simply create new aliases on my current @Tutanota account to start migrating from @protonprivacy.
I'm paying Tuta anyway and aliases are free. I'm not seeing any other European-based E2EE open source alternatives that I'd like to move to.
Proton has three days to get its house in order otherwise the great 'Yen Migration' will begin.
'Yen Migration' - can we start using that as a hashtag for this current Proton crisis?
