Today's relatively quick job. I seem to work at a decent pace with figures that have a clear idea of what it is and doesn't have too many little accessories and other bits and bobs (those really trip me up because I want them to be contrasting but not to use too many colors on the model).

I (again) hid a painted-on fold on the dress that isn't in the sculpt! Can you spot it? The WIP photo might help.

I wanted her to have darker skin, so there isn't quite enough contrast where it's touching the #wyrm. I also wasn't intentionally doing gold NMM on the trim. It just somehow...clicked for me while trying to make the yellow look sharp.

A fairly quick job testing out purple basecoat for the skin. The flesh tone on top of it at first didn't stick very well so I had to rub it off and try again (hence the somewhat streaky look).

The last pic is from after I found on a different sprue the optional bits of hide for that shoulder, to hide a bad-fitting spot. (I think I did an okay job filling the gap with putty though.)

Runic #Golem – Forest version (#dungeonsandlasers #worldofdeuslair)

Finished painting this a while ago but holding up the pictures was getting a base big enough for it. It didn't make a whole lot of sense to have its one leg standing on a 50mm base (as included in the box) when it occupies twice that width on a grid. For some extra stability there's a stack of washers inside the leg too.

Rashers' Golem (#DungeonsAndLasers #WorldOfDeuslair)

The glowing eyes and symbols were easier than I thought (I'm sure it's more complicated once you have the glow cast shadows on other things).

For a change, I used matte varnish over this (except the glossy water). It makes for better pictures but I'm so used to finished models having a bit of shine that the matte gives an unfinished look to me IRL.

Not my #fedipaint entry (!) since I painted this last month (it's as grim as I get though)

Speedpaints only except for final highlights. I used the alternate head as a bit of extra support for the one leg but the thing is still quite delicate on those chicken legs. (I don't know how people put up with this on WH AOS figures.)
