It's too late for #WorkbenchWednesday, and too early for #Shackturday but since this is somewhere in the middle anyway, we'll call it good.
Upgraded the lighting at my little workbench in the shack...just put some LED strips under a couple of the shelf lips.

My offering for #WorkbenchWednesday is my garage "shop" workbench. This has been a slow build over the last 12 or so years, but it's been home-base for all the woodwork stuff for my shack, misc. home repairs, some of our model rocket work, and the bigger and messier parts of all my various DIY projects.
This is about as clean as it gets, having just been tidied up this past weekend 😀
-
Cleaned up my shack this evening, and the garage last weekend, so I'll be ready for #WorkBenchWednesday pictures😀
-
I technically missed #WorkbenchWednesday but since it's cleaner at the moment than it usually is....

It's #WorkbenchWednesday
My bench space in my shack is small, so while it's cluttered, I'm forced to clean it off between projects. Right now it's mostly hot tools on it related to swapping out and updating my radio and antenna patch panel.

Sharing a project that recently left my workshop after far too many months: this ceramic piece was quite challenging mentally for me, and I had huge imposter syndrome about the whole thing.
I don't like sculpting hands, so the lass with the missing digits frightened me no end (I did okay in the end). I also needed to combine aluminium mesh and putties to recreate the sash, which was a pain in the bum.

Here are a couple of (slightly haunting) antique #gnomes I had on my workbench recently.
They'd been living outdoors for a brief time and they really, really didn't like that: one had frost damage (losses to the face, hand, and back of the head/hat) and both were dirty and had flaking paint all over.
After a bit of a clean, some reconstruction, consolidation of existing paint, and re-touching of repairs they look much happier!

@AF0AJ in addition to #Shackturday, I think we should also start #WorkbenchWednesday to share pics of the current state of our various workbenches. (I'll snag a shack pic and post when I can get down there later on😀)

@westwood9903 we should bring back #WorkbenchWednesday

Squeaking in this photo for #workbenchwednesday : I'm building the Befaco Instrument interface right now. It's slightly complicated, especially with the size of my capacitors.

Happy #WorkbenchWednesday to all those who celebrate. This week, I learned how to resize traces in EasyEDA and did a test run at 0.7 mm. Haven’t done continuity tests on every trace, but I’m guessing that this is going to be a smidge too narrow. Still, good progress.
Q: Why are you spending so much time on milling when you can get five perfect boards from JLCPCB in a week?” A: I want to get the hang of milling a known-good layout before I attempt something of my own design. #synthDIY

It’s #WorkbenchWednesday! What’s on your #synthDIY bench today?
I put together a new, smaller Gerber for testing circuit board milling params on my 3020-PRO Max. I think I can comfortably mill traces down to 0.7 mm wide with a 0.1 mm, 15 degree V bit at 0.07 mm depth. Now I need to go back to the LFO Gerber and see if I can widen the traces.

@yougenius @doctroid @woof @synthdiy I’m trying to get #WorkbenchWednesday going as a continuation of “what’s on your bench” from That Other Site. Would love to see more works-in-progress regardless!

@jepyang @SynthDIY Sure! I sort of already posted about my #WorkbenchWednesday; it’s an Erika Synths 3-channel mixer with 1/4” output jacks. I’m finishing up the main board layout and hope to assemble and test this weekend. https://github.com/erica-synths/diy-eurorack

Well I missed #WorkbenchWednesday but I've got a new #Project #OnTheBench: I've started work on a Star Trek Voyage/DS9 type 2 phaser.
So far I've printed all the parts (bar the last button which is in the wash and cure station at the moment). Next step will be sand off and then putty all the support markings.

#workbenchwednesday A 1956 Royal Aristocrat has graced my bench this week and is now ready for reassembly.

I have a new space at work, so I decided I am going to decorate it with things, specially a thermal detenator to start with.
Printing went well but I'm not 100% certain that I'm fully curing it (tacky spot after 15min washing and curing).
I also think I might have damaged it taking off the supports...I think I'll reprint in one of the grey ABS like resins (since they finally arrived) and go from there.
