Not sure we needed Warsi to tell us, but it is good to see that being members of the #ToriesOut organisation is less of the identity that enforced omerta it used to be - and Warsi is a reminder that there is still the bones of a viable right-wing party that does not subscribe to #rightWingPopulism if they only have the courage to speak up

Dame Sayeeda #Warsi, miembro de la Cámara de los Lores, dice que ha tenido que recomendar a su padre, un musulmán inmigrado del Punjab, que no vuelva a casa de la mezquita a pie porque teme reacciones racistas tras los discursos de la ministra del Interior, Suella #Braverman.

El tema es que Warsi no es de la oposición, precisamente: fue secretaria de Estado de Integración con Cameron y presidenta del Partido Conservador.

I’ve waited so long for someone with a high political profile to explain the colour of your skin doesn’t dictate whether you can be racist or not.

It’s no surprise that Lady #Warsi found an audience for this piece in the Guardian. I hope she repeats her assessment of #SuellaBraverman to right-wing media outlets too.
