Amiga people: Do any of the new accelerators that work with the Amiga 2000 allow fallback to the original 68000 by way of a PHYSICAL SWITCH or jumper?
I want an accelerator that can be disabled (without using soft-menus to control the state) so that the Amiga is able to fall back to its 100% exact original 68000 state, which some demos require to run properly, due to cycle-precise coding.
I have an A2620 68020 accelerator in my NTSC A2000, but it does not have a physical switch (just a soft menu) and the state gets lost when I juggle that soft menu and the need to also use Degrader to reboot into PAL mode.
Apparently the A2620 can be modified to add a switch, but it's beyond my abilities.

I'm still having a blast with Quicktake for Apple II from @colin_mcmillen. It's pretty cool (and rather geeky) to be walking around in public these days with a QuickTake 200 in my pocket. :-P

Sure I could keep up to date with the rather dull and repetitive news on my laptop, phone or tablet whilst working, but why would I when I have an #analogue tv transmitter and an early 2000's #Casio pocket tv? Somehow the news feels more important on this thing. Why is that? Even the brain numbing 'This Morning' feels important when watched on this thing! 🤷♂️🤣

Somebody gave me this (CED video disc player)and a bunch of discs before we moved up here.Played some discs once before we moved then it stopped working after I left it in storage and moved up here. Finally replaced some belts and it finally works. Am I going to keep it? No i really need to get this in the hands of somebody that loves old tech and is better a keeping these things going than me. #VintageTech #CED #Videodisc #80s

Using software written in 2026 (by @colin_mcmillen) on a computer released in 1983 to extract digital photos from a digital camera released in 1994.
Apple QuickTake 200 connected via serial to my 128K enhanced Apple IIe (video output via composite to CRT and to LCD via VidHD video card) with "large" volumes mounted via CFFA3000 flash storage card.
The 640x480 camera images (JPEGs) are decoded and scaled for display in the double high-res graphics mode at 560x192 monochrome pixels. Just lovely.

Check out what the SO brought home from work today. Her bosses were going to throw it away!! A PowerBook G3 from 1998. This was the partner for an embroidery machine, the window open on the screen is for the program used to setup patterns for embroidering. (She's the machine tech at a local quilt shop) The thing is in amazing shape. Just a few scuffs here and there. Screen is bright and no sign of any damage. There's a small bit of discoloring near the bottom but it's almost not noticeable. Keys are all fine (actual keys, yo), trackpad works great, left/right click are fine. Battery takes and holds a charge. CD drive in the drive slot. Didn't come with a floppy drive to swap in tho. MacOS 9.1 on it. Boots in about a minute.
Unsure what to do with it. She's hoping the embroidery machine it was paired with is still in her shop's storage somewhere, cause she'd like to actually use it as intended. If they don't, it'd be nice to see it get some sort of use by someone.

right so i got the PowerBook G4. problem is that the 4 key is extremely sensitive and was actually firing repeatedly. i took the 4 key off and it stopped. the slightest touch of the rubber dome thing makes it fire the 4 key. any ideas on how to fix it?
please boost this post, i don't want to use it without a proper 4 key!
